I got lucky on the locking seal. A local glass shop had it. I wasn't aware that it wasn't what kept the water out though, so I guess I'll have to pull the window and apply some sealant between it and the frame. Thanks again, it will be great to get this thing sealed up.Where to buy locking seal for cabover window glassI've got an old Six-Pac Truck Camper whose front cabover window has been leaking around the rubber window glass locking seal (between the glass and window frame). I would like to replace that seal, but am not sure where to find one. I pulled out one end of the seal to take cross sectional photos of it, shown below. One is a little blurry - sorry. Anyone know where this type of material might be available? I've checked Amazon and a couple of online sources but can't seem to find a piece that matches this cross-sectional view. The diagnostic LED is flashing once every 3 seconds which according to the service manual is a bad limit switch or air flow problems. Where is the limit switch located? Go to the following link and scroll down to post #6 by MikeandRuth. He describes the process of getting to the limit switch along with photos. His is an 8500-IV but hopefully it's similar to yours. http://www.irv2.com/forums/f54/atwood-furnace-limit-switch-access-231018.htmlRe: Searching for Owner of Red Standard PoodleThanks Larry. There has been some discussion about the different kinds of microchips on the Facebook group. How much of that is getting back to the person who has the dog, I don't know. I have no contact with her myself. I just saw this post and am spreading the word in hopes that someone recognizes the dog. But there are people in the group who are local to where this happened and have offered to pick the dog up and have it scanned again. Not sure where that stands.Re: Searching for Owner of Red Standard Poodle rockhillmanor wrote: Send a copy of this notice to these two emails. poodleclubofamerica@yahoo.com norcalpoodlerescueinc@gmail.com They will help get this flyer out to all the right places if she is stolen and/or lost. They will have a list of all the 'accredited' standard poodle rescues in that area and the poodle groups for lost and/or stolen dogs. Good luck keep us posted. The dog is in good condition and has recently to have had a very nice and most likely costly grooming. Someone must own her and want her back. Thanks rockhillmanor - emails sent. I suspect you're right about the owner being distraught about this. This dog is well taken care of and I doubt the owner dumped her. The possible scenarios of how she ended up where she did are endless.Re: Searching for Owner of Red Standard PoodleShe has been scanned - no chip. Regarding surveillance camera question, one post I read said a license plate couldn't be identified from it. But I'm waiting for clarification on any other info regarding the rig. Actually, they're not even certain this dog came from the motor home. What they do know is the owner of the motor home asked if he could walk his dog around the area after fueling. Later, after the motor home was gone, this dog was seen wandering around with the leash on. Apparently nobody actually saw this dog come from the motor home, but they are assuming that it did. In the case of found pets, it's important to remember that the situation may not be as it appears. Vehicles sometimes get stolen with animals inside of them, and the animals later get dumped by the theives. Or the pet's owner may have simply forgotten that the pet wasn't in the rig already when he pulled out. It may sound inconceivable, but I've heard of people driving off leaving their spouses and sometimes a kid or two behind as well. Strange things do happen, and not always because the owner is a bad person - just distracted for whatever reason. The goal is to find the owner first and foremost. Whoever he or she is, they might be worried sick about this.Searching for Owner of Red Standard PoodleLooking for the owner of a red standard poodle that was left at a gas station at (or near?) Two Rivers Casino, Davenport, Washington (Northwest of Spokane). Owner was reportedly driving a motor home and had stopped there for fuel. Dog was found dragging a retractable leash. Appears well taken care of, groomed. There is a Facebook group dedicated to finding this dog's owner: Red Poodle Facebook Group If you aren't on Facebook and have information about this dog, post here and I will relay the information. Here's the description of what happened, copied from the description of the Facebook group: We created this group to have a permanent record and post to share, as posts about this dog continually get deleted. This dog was found at gas station at Two Rivers Casino is 509-725-0748. This is the story we have gleaned from now deleted posts. Reportedly a man in a motor home asked the Two Rivers Casino gas station if he could let his dog out while pumping gas. Some time later gas station workers noticed this poodle running around with a leash on. They tied the dog up and left the dog there 6 hours to see if owner would come back. They did not call AC or police about the dog or the missing man in motor home. A nice lady came by and took the picture of the dog and posted it to Facebook. That was the only post made about the dog and people started sharing it. The manager decided she'd take the dog home and keep it if no owner came forward. After two days of questions, we found out who had the dog, the gas station manager, and that she took the dog in for a scan two days later. There was no chip according to vet. Shurflo Water Pump RepairMy water pump gave up the ghost last weekend when I made a quick run to the coast. Motor was trying to turn but couldn't. It just hummed and sucked amps. I went online and started looking for a new one. Saw several reviews of people saying the new ones don't last like the old ones did, so I decided to see if I could fix the one I have, which was manufactured in January 1987. Turned out to be a seized bearing in the diaphragm assembly, which was fairly easily replaced with a new bearing found at a local bearing supply shop for $6.75. I made a video of the process for anyone who might be interested. https://youtu.be/uOkAKVNcEJARe: Stop Microsoft Auto Updates NOW!!Sometimes it seems some technicians' first explanation of a problem is "it's not us, it's them." Seen that happen a lot. It's not our Dell machine, it's big bad Microsoft and their auto updates. Sometimes MS updates affect machines with specific hardware. So maybe your problem was restricted to Dell machines similar to yours with a particular graphics board for example. Driver update occurs and suddenly the OS crashes on reboot when that driver tries to load. That's a wild guess. These kinds of issues are extremely difficult to track down, and some technicians I've known (I've known a lot of them and was one myself prior to retiring) spout off with the first thing that comes to their mind as though it's gospel truth, when in reality they're just guessing and are often wrong. It seems many of them are quick to blame anyone but their own company. Sometimes their hardware simply failed. Sometimes an MS update conflicts with other software on the computer. Sometimes it has nothing to do with the update and a lot to do with a virus that coincidentally infected the machine around the same time as an update happened. Or a thousand other possible reasons. Anyway, I have an MSI GE70 laptop with Win 8.1, fully up to date, no issues.Re: Total Eternabond Failure! Was the Eternabond tape at room temperature immediately prior to installation? It's supposed to be. Also, Eternabond primer is recommended at temps below 40F. Sounds like you were close to that. Eternabond Instructions
