Don sorry, It sounded like in were talking about something other than the brake light switch.Re: Class A DP Trailer Brake Controller Wiring DSDP Don wrote: If you're prewired, the loom will USUALLY consist of four wires, similar in color to the wires on your controller. The issue with DP's is that they don't use a brake switch which triggers the braking system. They use pressure sensors on the firewall. You need something to trigger the system and make sure it doesn't come on with the exhaust/engine brake. Explain what these sensors are if there are not the brake light switch. Air brake systems usually use a brake light switch that activated by air pressure when you apply the brakes. Most systems will use two switches that preform the same task. Not hard to find as they are on or near the brake valve.Re: 3208 cat turbo, starts but will not shift into gear Mike Hohnstein wrote: Year of coach would really help. A 3208 is stated, doubt there are any computer issues, transmission cable problems seems more likely. Yes with a 3208 Cat engine the Allison would not be a "world" transmission like the current models. OP what Allison do you have in the coach? I would think it would be like a MT-645.Re: A/C Cooling Fan / Radiator / CoolingSo is the a/c blowing cold air now?Re: A/C Cooling Fan / Radiator / Cooling GlennLever wrote: Gasman 2 wrote: Have you confirmed that the A/C compressor is running? This fan is controlled by a pressure switch in the high pressure side of the A/C. Sounds like you system is low on Freon and the A/C clutch is not engaged. We are getting some cold air out of the vents, believe the system is working. I have not confirmed the compressor is running. I wanted to work on this this morning, but IT IS RAINING! I would confirm that the compressor is running before starting a work around,Re: A/C Cooling Fan / Radiator / CoolingHave you confirmed that the A/C compressor is running? But in simple terms it monitors air ride air. If it goes to zero so does your ride. . The air pressure in the air ride system will only change if the ride height control valve calls for move or less air pressure to maintain ride height. You can drain all of your Air tanks and the pressure in the air ride would remain the same if the ride control black valve does not move. Of course over period of time the air system will leak off depending on how tight the system is. Rollinhome what is the reading on each of your air gauges when the air system is air up? I'm betting they are nearly the same. The air pressure on my tag is 40 lbs not even close to what my air gauges indicateRe: New MH airbag operation Rollnhome wrote: Lower is to dump air. Auto is to fill airbags and maintain ride height. To level lower (dump air) in netural with park brake on, then engage jacks to level. To get ready to go reverse procedure. Raise jacks. When jacks are raised flip switch to auto. Let air bags fill and build air pressure. Two air guages one is for brakes two is for monitoring air ride. This is how my Discovery operates. I admit I do at times flip to auto while the jacks are raising just to let it start filling bags sooner. . The two air gauges represent the air pressure in the dual brake system as required by FMVSS 121. These gauges do not represent what is in the air ride only what is available. I guess you could have a third air gauge that would indicate the pressure air ride, but I have only seen those on trucks with air left axles .Re: Getting screwed by CoachNetWhat tire size does your father have on the front of his Anthem? Also would like to know the front axle weight. These 43 and 45 footers carry a lot weight on the front like 15 to 16 K.Re: turn signals on coach deandec wrote: Brake lights will not likely have a wire connection in the steering column. Disconnect the tow, and keep testing fuses and wires with your multimeter. Based upon very recent personal experience, check the ground connection first for the wiring harness, or the motor home fuses. If you have a combination brake / turn lights than the power to brake lights must go thru the turn signal switch. If not the brake light signal would over ride the turn signal. Thus no turn signal on application of brakes
