We'll be checking it out soon. Cincinnati route may be an option in the future--has been in the past! may want to reconsider again!!! the I-275 bypass bridge between Lawrenceburg, In. & Kentucky will have Major construction until late November this year. I see it on the news every day, delays run anywhere between 5 minutes to 90 minutes. morning rush hours are the worst. BTW-- I-65 south of Seymour to I-64 is mostly repaved & good, but road between Seymour & Columbus was rough. Southbound traffic probably the same.Re: slide out in slide out Dutch_12078 wrote: Before they went under, I think National RV was the first to offer a "slide-in-slide" feature. I don't recall which of their several brands had it though. National indeed did have this setup but I can't recall what brand it was on. they also had one that the whole passenger side opened up and dropped down to create a complete PATIO room. I had a picture of it years ago, it was probably a prototype rv & never went into productionRe: Tom Raper RV's/ Camping World camperforlife wrote: David Bane who owns the three Tom Raper dealerships in Richmond Indiana, Columbus and Cincinnati Ohio announced that he is selling to a nationwide RV sales and service company. The word here in his home town is that Camping World is buying them. If so, Marcus scored three very large-fairly well respected dealerships. I'm considering purchasing a new RV this year & TOM RAPER was one place I was considering. I had previously bought 2 RV's from them back in the 90's. was treated well & they had a good service dept. then. So now I have to scratch-off TOM RAPER from my list of dealers. as for CW locations, they will not ever see me on their lots or in stores again after the terrible experience I had with their GREENWOOD,IN. (indy area)location 2 years ago. this has to be one of their WORST service dept. locations. on a scale of 1 to 10, they don't even rate a 1. as for the Rapid Response Team to handle claim--not much better. DW still gets furious anytime I mention their name or get a piece of mail from them.Re: Lake Ouachita State ParkGreat state park---friend of ours is a volunteer camp host sometimes. take the spot we were in, (07--full hookup/50 amp & level). our rv same size as yours with room for a toad. your near bath house & camp host. trees should be pretty this time of year. BTY- this campground WILL throw persons out if misbehaving, park ranger WALKS campground nightly. don't know about this time of year thou if that is still in effect.Re: Custer SP/Blue Bell & Stockade Lake South two slides wrote: if your BIL/SIL want something a little classier, the STATE GAME LODGE has a super great restaurant inside, & right next door has those JEEP tours to see Buffalo & other animals. seems there may have been a campground nearby. we were only in the restaurant though for lunch. drove around park in our Toad. someone may come on here & give you more details. we were just there in August, temps over 90's & now it may have Snowed there--crazy weather. BTW--if any of you like Coffee-----the restaurant serves the best. I made a comment to waitress about it & she told me if you order it or a refill, they Fresh grind the beans for every cup-not pre-made like many places. here's an update for you. got litature out of rv for park. State Game Lodge has 11 camping cabins & 55 rv sites w/ electric/water hookups. grocery store nearby, also park office and Peter Norbeck Visitor Center. I knew there were more things in the area. may want to check this one out too. only thing i'm not sure about is a campground with shade trees. park fee is $15 good for 7 days I think. don't wait to long to book site/cabins. campgrounds were booked solid when we tried to get a site anywhere in park in August.Re: Custer SP/Blue Bell & Stockade Lake Southif your BIL/SIL want something a little classier, the STATE GAME LODGE has a super great restaurant inside, & right next door has those JEEP tours to see Buffalo & other animals. seems there may have been a campground nearby. we were only in the restaurant though for lunch. drove around park in our Toad. someone may come on here & give you more details. we were just there in August, temps over 90's & now it may have Snowed there--crazy weather. The full hoop up loop has some great sites on a beutiful lake. You are about 20 minutes from downtown Hot Springs but in a beautiful location. Check out the reviews on RV Park Reviews and then call the park directly to reserve a site. 2X-------for Lake Quachita. we had some friends who live near here that were being campground hosts for several weeks. we didn't tell them we're coming, wanted to surprise them. anyhow, most sites looked level (ours was 7 cannot remember which loop)with full hookup that was just above the lake. sites are spaced out which we like, boat ramp nearby if you have one. you can drive over to the 3 springs area of the park & get some free MIRACLE water in plastic jugs. NOT FOR DRINKING-JUST FOR PAINS & AILMENTS. they then took us to Hot Springs but it was raining & didn't see much, however there is a road that overlooks city & there is again free water that is SAFE to drink.again need plastic jugs & may need to wait a bit. seems local folks like to get gallons & gallons of this drinking water. BTW- a security guard WALKS the campground every nite, campers are well behaved or you'll need to leave.Re: leaking leveling jackUPDATE----------I e-mailed POWER GEAR after I posted this question. BAD NEWS---- I need to replace the jack,non-repairable. as someone stated, have to order thru a distributor. yrusoslo---I also thought about scissor jack but won't work. jerseyjim----non-repairable jack, need to buy new one. I also don't have heavy duty equipment but know someone who does. fcooper---- I just may try your BRAKE FLUID idea, all i'm looking for is a short term temporary fix. thanks all for your helpleaking leveling jackjust getting to leave on vacation when I looked under RV & saw a front Power Gear jack leaking. called rv dealer & can't get me in til late in August. anyone know of a temporary fix I can use til I get back? this is the hydraulic type---not electric. it is the Right front jack. any suggestions????
