The safety indicator cable has been cut and I don't want to raise it too high or too short. There is nothing for this in the manual. ThanksRe: Photo Thread - Post Your PUP Pics HereBelow are some pictures of my 1998 Dutchman Classic 747SL. Re: 1998 Dutchman Classic 747SL questionsIn Wisconsin, if the trailer is under 3000# we don't have to register it. I talked to the insurance company today all I have to do is etch some numbers like my birthday into the frame, take a picture of it, and send it to them.1998 Dutchman Classic 747SL questionsI just recently purchased a 1998 Dutchman Classic 747SL. I have purchased several trailers in the past and haven't had any problems but on this one, I can not find the VIN/Serial number. I looked all over the frame, tongue, inside the cabinets and nothing. We asked the previous about a title and where they purchased it from. They said they got it from a dealer and they didn't get any title. We contacted the dealer and they have no record of a VIN number. Our insurance company will not insure it without the VIN. Anyone have any suggestions? Do I need insurance on something that is only worth $1600-$2000? Another question I have is the safety cable limiting how high the roof can be raised is broken, can someone tell me the height the roof is supposed to go up. I just eyeballed it but I want to put a new cable on so if someone sets it up they don't bring it up too much. Thanks for all of your help!New to us camper- 1988 JaycoHere are some pictures of our new to us Popup. It is a 1988 Jayco 1006. We purchased it for $500, there was no real problems with it besides cosmetic stuff. We put in a new floor (sticky tiles) Caulked everything, painted the frame and rims black, new curtains and reupholstered the table cushions. We have maybe $200 into it so not to bad to keep the 5 of us off the ground. Sometime in the future is replacing the Ice box with a dorm fridge. Outside before Outside after Inside Before Inside Before Inside After Inside After Inside After One question that I have is the door. With the camper level the door has a large gap(look at the pictures). Do you have any suggestions for fixing this? I have tried moving the hinges and trying to straighten the frame but no luck.Double check after hooking up trailerCheck out this video. It gives you something to think about when hooking up your trailer next time. Always double check your self that every thing is hooked up and in working condition. Pretty scary how many people just take things for granted. Just take a extra minute to protect the safety of you and the other people around you on the road. trailerCaulkI just purchased a 1988 Jayco 1006 popup. There is no signs of leaks but the caulk needs to be replaced. What is the best way of removing the caulk nit just on the roof but on the side corners also? What is the best caulk to use? ThanksRe: Handy Hints, Gadgets, Products & GizmosI tried the stuff in the packet but want to make some of my own to make the fire look cool and give the kids a show! Here is the site I found that gives a pretty good list. I will have to practice at home. Magic
