We went when it first opened and stayed in Vegas and rented a car. Sorry, can't help with the campground.Re: NEED ADVICE, INT WALL TOYHAULERI like our Grand Design 5th wheel. It has sliding door between the garage and main living area.Re: trying something new....heading to Florida in winterWe stay in Walmart lots otw down and back, 1 night each way. I've started the furnace a couple hours before we stop and it helped a little but it was pretty chilly inside still. Bring some extra blankets, maybe sleeping bags and I think you'll be fine. I now have a 5th wheel with a generator so we use electric space heaters along with the furnace and it warms up nicely. Have a good trip, I wish we were going south this winter.Re: trying something new....heading to Florida in winterI pulled our previous 5th wheel back from Florida to Michigan in a bad snow storm. It started with ice in Georgia. I think I was in 4wd most of the time and they closed I75 after we went through. Good luck. And, wash the under carriage of your trailer when you get home because it will be all rusty in the spring if you don't. I also replaced the kids bikes that were on the back of the 5th wheel from all the salt damage.Re: Winter Storing popupI would put it on a couple jack stands and cover it with a tarp. Use a lot of shock cords to keep it secured. Maybe do something to keep the critters away also.Re: New to it allGet a 1 ton SRW diesel. Your, 9-11,000 lb., will be 12-13,000 lbs. before you know it. Especially if you plan on putting toys in the toy hauler.Re: What did you do to your Toy Hauler today???I believe I installed the EMS after the transfer switch to protect the trailer from both generator and shore power. The hardest part was working with the thick wire, #2 I think. The disc brake conversion can easily be done in a weekend. I ran the hard brake line along the passenger side on the outside of the frame and then up through the passenger side propane compartment and into the front compartment where I mounted the pump. You have to run new wire, #12 I believe, from the pin box back to the pump. I bought my kit from stop your trailer. The owner, Bill, is very helpful with any questions you may have. I had a couple for him.Re: What did you do to your Toy Hauler today??? Wizbangdoodle wrote: As promised Nice Momentum. I just got a new/used Harley to haul in ours. Our last trip, I had 5 bicycles, 2 kayaks, 3 kids suitcases, corn hole boards, etc... in the back. It holds a lot of stuff.Re: Power surgeGet the Progressive Industries EMS with the digital display. I mounted my display right above the fuse box which I can see every time I enter the trailer.
