Hello, our insurance won’t cover the water damage, because there is an exclusionary clause in the policy, about water seepage, etc. The roof was checked for leaks, and yes it is strange that keystone only covered the slides. However they said (that was still under structural warranty). We never had any noise, etc coming from the pump, and no flooding on the underbelly of the 5th wheel…The pump was installed horizontally on the floor. There is evidence of what looks like residue on the pump head, from pics sent to us from RV repair facility. We had the unit professionally winterized by Bishs, in 2023. And this year a diff company (that noticed) the water damage. I sent a very diplomatic letter to SeaFlo, they asked for pics, serial number, pics of the damage… (the next email, said the pump can only handle 30 psi incoming pressure, anything over that… It will leak as stated in their manual… And they also said… Sorry for your inconvience, but SeaFlo will not pay for (labor/ damages done to my unit)…I emailed them back, asked for a manual, took 4 days to respond…. Again they referenced in the manual…incoming pressure at 30 psi. However, the paragraph also referenced (try to avoid any pressure completely???).. We have had our insurance company, send an inspector out, as well as the RV repair facility looking at it. Our insurance company refuses to pay, We had ZERO knowledge that this damage was occurring.. I am extremely OCD about my stuff. There was no indication of water on the floors, etc… $1000 for parts/materials… $200 an Hour for labor at 20 hours to fix the unit.. I have seen a lot of posts on RV forums concerning issues with water pumps, (and yet).. No company seems to be liable for damages incurred…189Views0likes1CommentSeaFlo water pump
I have 2023 Montana high country 77 FL. Had it winterized last season professionally, this season a diff company came out, while doing the winterizing, they found water damage under the front slide to the OSB. We immediately took our unit to their facility, upon further inspection, they found water damage by the inside steps, in the kitchen area.. and found that the SeaFlo pump had been leaking for quite sum time. Our insurance won’t cover the damage, I’ve contacted keystone, about this, they agreed to cover the slide issue. But not the damage done by the pump. I have an extended warranty with Easy Care… But their no help either, estimate to fix it 11K…. Any one else have problems of the same nature?????
