It does not have any holes to access the slide motor from the outer body of the trailer. I believe this slide has a Dexter center drive unit which can only be accessed by opening a flap on the underbelly cover, exposing the drive motor and manually accessing a recessed nut on the motor with a socket wrench to turn the motor. It also requires the motor brake to be disengaged by using a 9-12v battery connected to two small wires going to the motor brake. Does anyone have any experience or photos using this procedure if the slide won't operate with the cabin switch? I know to check the 30A fuse for the slide first and make sure house battery is charged.Re: How to manually override slide out. 2008 MallardDifferent methods depending on which slide mechanism you have. On my Rockwood 2604, I would need to get under the trailer, open the bottom cover where the motor is located, apply 12v from a small battery to the safety brake on the motor to release it, and then use a socket to manually turn the motor. Calling a dealer, independent rv shop or the factory might help for your slide.Solar controller float charge at 13.6I have an small trailer with 200w of solar panels and two 6v deep cycle lead-acid golf cart batteries. The controller I have is Renogy Wanderer 30A, described as capable of separate bulk, absorption and float charges and apparently is programmed to float at a fixed charge at 13.6v after the batteries are fully charged. The float is not adjustable on this controller. I note that when in float, the amperage going to the batteries at 13.6v is very low, typically less than 1 amp. My other trailer has a converter which charges at 13.2v float, which I believe is a sign of a good multistage charging system that does not overcharge the batteries. Is this solar controller overcharging my batteries in float? Or is the low amperage at 13.6v a safe float?Re: 2010 Freedom Express 170RB - Private Sale QuestionsDate tires were made is stamped on them. If they are 9-10 year old tires they need to be replaced no matter how they lookRe: How many own 2 Travel Trailers?I have a 26' TT and an A Frame trailer. I use the former when others go with me camping and the latter for shorter trips by myself. We occasionally use both trailers when group camping.Re: First TT purchase ?? about Dealer discounts & any adviceThere are online web sites that will tell you MSRP and dealer invoice prices. CW is not known for selling RVs at significant discounts, sometimes locking you into an expensive financing deal or adding other initially hidden charges.Re: What do you love about your TT?Tending to my TT is one of my hobbies. Lots of upgrades, mods and repairs over the years. I have gotten to know every inch of it and can do most repairs or maintenance myself. Also serves as a transportable backup living space - CA earthquakes, wildfires, and floods are always a threat in my area.Re: Is A/C on GFCI circuitMy A Frame trailer has a Dometic Cool Cat A/C-heat pump rated at 10.5 BTU that runs on 15A breaker. It pulls 11A cooling and 9A heating on 120v.Re: Replacing dead refrigerator with a residentialYou may wish to consider an inverter and enough batteries to run the fridge while on the road if taking any long trips.Re: dumb question about my fridgeThere are some 3 way fridges that run on AC, propane and DC (batteries). Most only run on AC or propane. Read the owners manual or find it online.
