It seems many of the campgrounds were destroyed by Hurricane Laura. When looking online many do not have an active website. We are looking for some suggestions.Re: Accu Slide - Need Help Please! Does not seem right!Thank you so much for all your help! Do we want the slide open or closed when we adjust the slack? The videos look like it is out? We are at a location where we can work on it. You all have gone above and beyond to assist me in my time of panic.Accu Slide - Need Help Please! Does not seem right! Our cable on our Accu Slide hopped off the pulley and frayed the cable. The pulley bracket bent so now we needed the cable and bracket. We called for parts and the pulley bracket is on back order however, we found the cable. We decided to hire someone to come help make the best of a bad situation. We are a few thousand miles away from home so we did what we thought was best. Because of the bent bracket the entire system had to be removed from the wall so they could try to flatten the bracket. They were able to get the bracket flat and they put the new cable on. As he was leaving he thanked us for allowing him to learn! This was his first SLIDEOUT system!!We now have Accu Slide cables that do not seem to be at the correct tension. But we are not sure! Now we have a new issue. WHEN THE SLIDEOUT IS COMPLETELY IN. The cables are tight and only have a small movement. The chains are very loose. WHEN THE SLIDEOUT STARTS TO OPEN. The cable stay tight and the chains tighten also. WHEN THE SLIDEOUT IS ALL THE WAY OUT. The cables on the outside are loose. WHEN THE SLIDEOUT STARTS TO GO IN. The cables tighten and it travels in. WHEN THE SLIDEOUT IS ALMOST IN. The cables seem to loosen before they go out of sight. Any guidance will be greatly appreciate! KimRelacing StairsWe needed to replace our stairs so we purchased a new set that appeared to be a even replacement. When we installed the new stairs we did not believe we needed new outriggers as the ones that were left from the old set of stairs appeared fine. After testing the new stairs the bolt attaching the outrigger does not appear to be sitting correctly so we would like to fix that issue. However, we are stuck. The outrigger mounting bracket that is connected to the rig appears the it is attached to the floor of the camper. The bolts comes from a location we can not see and enters down through the hole in the outrigger. To change out the outrigger brackets We must access the top of that bolt so we acn remove the old and install the new. There is no viewable access point and tearing up the floor seems crazy and the location we purchased the stairs states there has to be a way without touching the floor. However, they are not sure. We have a 2015 Wildcat 5th wheel.Re: What is the life expectancy of the 5th wheelFailure vs Defect Insurance sudden vs overtimeRe: What is the life expectancy of the 5th wheelVery interesting people are asking about potholes! Yes we did and that is what started this, we hit a huge one just north of the OHIO line so we stopped at the truck stop to inspect because it raddled our teeth! That is when we saw the cracks! According tot the insurance the cracks are not from a sudden hit and Keystone say it is failure not defect.Re: What is the life expectancy of the 5th wheelMore Information! We have a Keystone Laredo 5th Wheel 2005 that is 8 years old. We had a crack in the pin box above the welds and when they pulled down the skin they found a few other cracks. Keystone claims this is not a manufacture defect and our insurance states it was not a sudden issue so no coverage. They have labeled it a Manufacture failure and that can happen with a rig as old as ours. They claim 8 years is an old rig. They questioned how long we thought a rig should last. Our rig is in Great condition and we love every inch of the rig. The only issue we have is we have lost some of the exterior graphic from time in the elements. What is the life expectancy of the 5th wheelWe just ran I to a problem with our 5th and to our great surprise the insurance, RV company, and dealer were all shocked we were shocked I did not think it was that old. One question I was asked we how long do I feel an RV should last. I am interested what the thoughts are and how old your rigs are.
