The motor is in the very back of the furnace.Re: furnace squealingI am figuring I will pull the furnace Sunday before I come home and order parts and have all back together buy next weekend. I am trying to figure out what to use for heat this weekend.furnace squealingI have a older 2000 forest rivers cherokee 37k Camper and of course it is on my camp spot so I cant walk out to check it. But last weekend we went up and cleaned up for the season and fired up the furnace and it squealed really loud for about 1-2 minutes then quite and worked fine. We ended up shutting it off and turned it back on about 6 hours later and same thing. I assume I need to try to oil motor bearing or replace motor I was going to try to make sure I have everything I need to oil it this weekend to use it and try to get some motor numbers off it. Is there any clue what furnace I have with make and year to try to locate a manual. From the best I have looked around and the best I can remember two years ago when I had it out I am pretty sure it is a suburban furnace. I guess If I am pulling it I should replace both the height temperature limit switch and the sail switch along with blower motor.furnace thermostat issueI have a 2000 forest rivers camper that I bought this year. I had to do a bunch of misc things to it when I bought it which I was aware of but I still have one thing left furnace. Someone pulled the furnace out I am assuming to replace fridge which is above it and never replaced. I tested it at my house on 12v battery I hooked the red and yellow to battery and hooked both blue wires together for thermostat and blower motor kicked on. So I took it to camper last weekend while I was at campground and tried to hook it all up. When I hooked the wires up and flipped the switch on the wall thermostat from off down to heat the furnace did not kick on the a/c on did. I don't have any clue why every time I flip to furnace the a/c runs. I also need a new thermostat for the wall one of the switches is broke you have to use a key to flip it up or down. But I would like to just pick up a cheap digital one at homedepot but I am not sure about the switch for fan speed high or low. Or maybe I can get one of these if it will work for both. http://www.tomraper.com/parts_store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=240_874&products_id=15026Re: awning support need helpI have a set of awning deflappers I may try to add a wind or two on the awning when I head back to camper on wednesday and may try the deflappers also. please refresh with awning open wind front of camper clockwise and rear counter correct? I also am not sure about before I replaced canvas old canvas was shot and just bought this camper month ago.Re: awning support need helpOkay I am back to the original plan of one of the awning supports to push pressure out on the center of the tube were it bows in from all the weight. I wish I could find some pictures of one that has been built to build one tomorrow.Re: awning support need helpI forgot about the bows them would work great also. I sure wish I could find some good info on them. I need to figure a way to mount them. I wonder if I could just use 1" pvc and bow it or would it bow down or sideways instead of up. I would love some good pictures of them mounts at both sides and info from anybody that has made them.awning support need helpI have a 37' camper that has 21' A&E awning that I just replaced the canvas. And just two weeks ago we put it on a spot at a local campground. I noticed when I open the awning in the center of the canvas sags pretty bad that would not take much rain at all that would end in ugly result. I know lower one side but I have to have it way lower due to it sags so bad in the middle. I would like to buy one of them support poles that runs from roof to awning tube then down to the ground. But just don't have the extra 150.00 + right know to get one. So I am looking for a DIY project that will mount to camper and run out to the tube to keep canvas from sagging so bad.Re: over towing lengthWell I am not that worried about being stopped I don't ever tow in the city and always on country state routes to all campgrounds.over towing lengthI just got a 37' foot camper and decided I was going to measure it and figures over the indiana legal limit. I have a crew cab long bed. I am not finding anything showing that since I have class A cdl's does it make it legal. I am not worried about being almost 62 feet just would like to know.
