You could set alarm levels and be alerted when the temperature surpasses that threshold (via e-mail or text message). You'd need someway whoever for a unit like this to have Internet access for the communications bit otherwise it'll be useless if you can't be alerted. http://www.itwatchdogs.com/temperature-humidity-climate-monitor-watchdog-15-p71.htmlRe: GPS or smart phoneI rather use my Garmin for GPS duties over my smartphone. As mentioned before the standalone GPS unit's screen is easier to read. Also, unless you cache your route data ahead of time if you loose your cell signal you're out of luck with the smartphone. I also like the fact that my Garmin is JUST a GPS unit and nothing more. It's simpler to use/navigate and it won't get interrupted by other tasks (like incoming calls).Re: Getting Camper Keys MadeI had an extra set made at a local True Value.Re: suburban water heater 110v switch replacementWhat model? I have the SW6DE and had to replace the switch. It was rather easy to do. Pry it out with a flat head screwdriver. Remove the wires from the old and connect them to the new switch. Slip the switch back in. The water heater doesn't have to be removed but you'll probably need to disconnect any gas lines or the burner tube if they're in the way.Re: Data port readersUsing Torque here as well. Excellent app for Android. I picked up one of the bluetooth OBD-II adapters from ebay for about $11 so with the app I have about $16 into it altogether. For the information it gives you access to it's well worth it.Re: Any opnions on this camper? ed6713 wrote: The very basic aluminum siding tells about the quality; minimal. That's a very broad assumption. There's absolutely nothing minimal about aluminum siding. Not everyone likes the smooth fiberglass sides. They each have their pros and cons. As mentioned before check really well for leaks inside at the ceiling and inside all cabinets. Check for soft spots in the floor. Look over the slide-out carefully for leaks on the interior. Check the tires over and find out how old they are. It's definitely a good idea to have them turn on the A/C, fridge and hot water tank for you to make sure all of that works good.Re: How do YOU start your campfire?I'll use a sliver of fat pine placed under a tee-pee of kindling. A cotton-ball coated with petroleum jelly works well also.Re: Dirty roof-what are you guys using to clean?I use Dawn w/ a soft brush on a nice long handle - works good.
