Oldcow Holy Cow, Oldcow, you're everywhere. Made me laugh that you popped up on this thread. You're doing the right thing. Keep doing your homework.Re: Furrion TV - Direct TV remote codeThanks Grumpy, that is what I wanted to know. vonzoogRe: Furrion TV - Direct TV remote code Dave H M wrote: You can always get the locals on DTV by calling or going to the web site and changing the service address to the location that you are at. Are you saying that you can take a weekend trip out of your local spot zone, go online and change your address, and then receive locals for that area you are visiting? Even though your billing address is not the same? Then go home and change it back to the way it was?Factory "Camera Ready" QuestionsGrand Design offers a camera prep package on most of their 5th wheels. I'm guessing by the looks of them that it is a Furrion brand. My questions are: 1. Is this nothing more than a power wire provided at the camera mounting location? Therefore the camera must broadcast a signal from the back of the 5ver to the receivers location in the truck. 2. Is the camera "hard wired" to a transmitter in the front of the 5ver and then transmitted to the receiver in the truck. 3. Does it work in either of the first two questions? 4. Are they worth the money, Thanks,Re: Correct TruckThanks Cummins12V98, Your response is pretty much what I was already thinking. Was hoping to hear that someone else has been there and done that. I had not thought about adding the Bilstien shocks, but sounds like a good idea. My current toy hauler is squatting the truck about 3 inches in the rear and I am noticing my headlights are a little high. Going with the Momentum would/should squat the truck a little more. The added pin weight had me more concerned than the gearing requirements. Would adding the Bilstiens now make a noticeable difference over the stock setup? Thanks again,Re: Correct TruckQuestion ( mostly to RAM owners, but everyone else are welcome to join in). Looking at possibly a Momentum 376TH. Do you think my 2016 RAM DRW with a 68 RE transmission and 3.73 rears is adequate for this unit. 1st. Would I need air bags to keep everything level? 2nd. Would I need to change out rear to 4.10 gears? Thanks in advance,Re: Towing a Coleman Popup with 2013 Grand CaravanThere are many different brands of quality hitches available to you. My advice for you would be to go to the etrailer.com and start researching there. They will even help you to answer all your questions. Also they're pricing is very reasonable.Re: Towing a Coleman Popup with 2013 Grand CaravanAlso of note. Years back I rented a pop-up and I was totally surprised how big that thing looked in the rearview mirrors. Big difference between pulling it down the road and looking at it in a campground.Re: Towing a Coleman Popup with 2013 Grand CaravanYes you are correct on both questions. I would definitely go with the weight distribution hitch. When I had a pull behind trailer years past, the weight distribution hitch makes a big difference in the way the vehicle handles and operates.Re: Buying new truck: ? about gears and cab configurationForget how often you are carrying passengers. If you got a Labador, the crew cab is a must. Sorry, I couldn't resist. But it's true. :)
