All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Yet another tire pressure question.Perfect! I am leaving on a small weekend trip in a few hours. Perfect testing distance. I will change the pressure right now, and report back when we return. Thanks!Re: Yet another tire pressure question. Thanks Dennis. Are you suggesting I use the 85 and 95 lbs pressure, as the chart shows, +5? I would love to do this as the coach rides a little stiff now. The tires are currently at 115 on the front and 100 on the rear. I have already installed a TPMS, and it seems to be working fine. The coach is already what I would call "camping ready" with food, fuel, propane clothes, some tools, etc. I will watch the weights and pressures carefully, but if you think I should start with the recommended pressures, +5, I will do that and see how it goes. The TPMS gives me some confidence that I am not running it too low, and should let me know if I am in the ballpark.Re: Yet another tire pressure question. Thanks for all of this great info. Doing this exercise has given me a better understanding of tire loading. Starting with a basically unloaded coach, I will use 100 lbs for the rears, and 110 on the front. This should give me a cushion while starting to load our belongings into the coach. I will re-weigh once I have loaded it up, and make adjustments. I will also do the four corners as soon as I can. Thanks to all!Yet another tire pressure question.I could use some verification of the tire pressures for my motorhome. I think I have this right, but I sure would like someone who knows more to confirm if I do. My coach is a 2002 Monaco Diplomat 40’ with three slides. As I cannot find a location to do corner weights yet, I have just used a Cat scale to measure the axle weights. The GVWR on the coach is 32,000 lbs Actual Weight Weight with full fuel and water with two people onboard = 28,635 lbs. Front axle = 11,185 / 2 = 5,593 lbs per tire Rear axle = 17,450 / 4 = 4,363 lbs per tire I pasted below what the Goodyear chart showed. The chart I found this info on can be found here http://www.goodyearrvtires.com/pdfs/tire-care-guide.pdf Goodyear 275/70R22.5 load range H PSI 85 90 95 100 105 110 115 Singe 5170 5400 5630 5850 6070 6290 6510 Dual 4770 4980 5180 5390 5590 5800 6000 Now, using the above chart, I have concluded that my front tires should have 95 psi, and my rear tires should have 85 psi. After reading in forums, these pressures seem low? Most seem to be running in the 100-110 psi range? Can someone advise me if I have interpreted the Goodyear chart correctly, and these seem to be the right pressures for my tires? (Sorry, I can't get the formatting right to display the chart info.) ThanksRe: 2002 Diplomat cruise control doesn't work?OK, problem solved. I opened up the side panel from inside the coach where there is a rats nest of wires. Just what I expected. The bundle of wires that were grouped together for the three cruise control switches were ty-wrapped. Also, seemed logical. They were very tight because of the way they ty-wrapped. After cutting it to access the individual wires, the problem became obvious. The middle switch connector, "Cruise Cancel", had been pulled completely off the switch. I suspect this was because of the weight or tightness of the bundle. Anyway, plugged it back in and everything worked as it should. It goes to show you that sometimes the solution is just so simple, you are caught off guard.Re: 2002 Diplomat cruise control doesn't work? Thanks teddychamp! I have looked for a fuse or relay in my fuse compartment, but can't find one. I will look under the dash as you suggested. You have the same engine and year as me, so it sounds logical that there would be a similar set up. If anyone that has a similar Diplomat could confirm the location of the fuse or relay, that would be great.2002 Diplomat cruise control doesn't work? The cruise control on my (new to me) 2002 Monaco Diplomat does not work, and I am hoping that one of you good folks might shed some light on what the problem may be. Here is the information I can provide at this time. Cummins ISC 330 hp engine with three switches for the cruise control. SW1 - Cruise “ON/OFF” (this switch has a light on it when ON, and it is working) SW2 - Cruise “CANCEL” SW3 – Cruise “SET and RESUME” Although the ON/OFF switch seems to be working, I cannot get the cruise control to engage. I have read many posts which have indicated several problems, and so I have checked some of those. The brake lights are not on when trying to engage the cruise. (I had the DW follow me) And, the exhaust brake is not on or engaged. It is my understanding that the cruise control is a function of the Cummins ECM, but I was wondering if anyone can suggest other things I might check before taking it to Cummins? Thanks for the help!
