I was considering GSRA but after reading here and looking at an aforementioned competitor I'd say my decision is clear.Re: How you heatin?I'm in a 31ft Class C. Have solely used 2 space heaters without problems. My pad rent includes $75 of electricity and only once have I gone over and then it was less than a dollar and that was during the summer using the AC. The lowest temp has been an overnight of 11 degrees. I will say I bought an electric blanket for the really cold spells and have kept my hot rollers sitting on the floor behind the toilet as well as heat tape on my water hose.Re: Cell Phone w/Unlimited Call BlockingI also set nuisance numbers to a silent/no vibration ringtone, plus putting only a few contacts on my favorites list so they are the only ones that will ring through. Of course I still get notification of the missed call and any voice mail but at least it's silent.Re: Solo RV'ingI thought I'd go to a State Park near my hometown and practice there also. I have watched numerous videos on YouTube and think they will be very helpful. One thing I came across last night while looking at State Parks is most if not all of the site are at an angle. The video tutorial I watched just showed backing into a straight site. So I will be looking for video addressing that issue. Again, appreciate all your input!Re: Solo RV'ingMinnie is a 31ft'er.Re: Solo RV'ingGreatly appreciate the comments! I do plan to practice in an empty parking lot. Definitely hope to snag as many pull thru's as I can along the way. Hadn't thought about the gas station lay out. That is a good one. I haven't decided if I will tow a car or not. I've considered just getting a bicycle.Re: Solo RV'ingSorry for my lack of details. I have a 1998 Minnie Winnie Class C.Solo RV'ingI am less than a month away from hitting the road. Doing this solo and concerned about driving and parking. I have barely driven it since I bought it. I've been living in it since April. I know I need to practice the backing up/pulling in etc. But any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I'm going from the St. Louis area to Florida, taking I55 south to LA and then meandering my way along the coast. ThanksRe: Medical and veterinary needs while full timing.Thank you Dutch, appreciate the encouraging response!Re: Medical and veterinary needs while full timing. How do you handle narcotics? I have a pain pill & a nerve pill. I used to be able to get it written (for the nerve pill) so I would have 6 months worth at a time. But they have changed it. My dose was cut in half and can only get 2 refills. I see a pain specialist doc and not sure how that will be handled. I guess I will ask when I see her next time. I won't be heading south till mid December. That's when it will get interesting. I've used Walgreen's for quite some time. While I can get a med refilled if I'm in another state, doing so transfers that script to that store. When I was OOT and needed a pain med refill, the WG nearby filled it. But when I got back home & time came for a refill, my home WG wouldn't fill it. Narcotics can only be transferred once. I had to call the pain clinic, explain what happened, which of course was made a big deal out of, finally got it fixed. My brother in NC got my refill and mailed it to me. After that I got a paper script from the pain doctor. I am alone with 2 dogs. What happens if one of them dies while on the road? One of them is too heavy for me to lift. They are quite old.
