We were around for the first round of little ones to reach high school + age and found that the older they get, the less they have time for the grandparents (us). When they were smaller, the parents (our children) didn't have time for the parents (us) because they were busy working and raising the families. So, what I am saying is, you raised your children, let them raise theirs and start enjoying YOUR life since the clock does not stop ticking. JMHORe: Exploring Our Options Flanz wrote: Thanks for the responses. We are currently looking into my wife's retirement health insurance and if it will work for us. We plan on setting up a domicile in either SD or Texas. Everything is coming together and we are exploring options for health insurance. What we need to confirm the costs evolved as well as if the insurance will cover fulltime RVers. In and out of network costs as well as if we need a PCP. The insurance coverage comes from Aetna and looks like, at this time, it will cover us if we setup SD, Texas, or FLA as our domicile. What other questions should we ask the insurance provider? We still have a couple of years to go, but we don't want to get blind sided. Our plan is to be part of the class of 2016.....(-: -paul We went through the ACA marketplace and got very reasonable insurance that is "nationwide" coverage. This means that as long as you go to one of the "network" doctors/facilities, etc, you will not pay the "out of network" much higher deductible. We found BCBS very reasonable and since it is nationwide it is perfect for our full-time traveling. Welcome to the road & good luck.Re: Full-timing on contract CAD work Larryzv7 wrote: Altern wrote: Thank God my father taught me the value of property and how to make money other than working for others. The lifestyle of a fulltime RV’er is healthier and has more intrinsic value and freedom than living in a big house and being part of the rat race. True value is not something you can buy or sell. With all due respect to your father; the value of property, or any other material thing, is nothing, zero, zilch, when compared to the value of inner wealth; which is what I get living a simple life out here in nature traveling in my RV. The poorest man is the one who gets his comfort from money and material things.:B >Larryzv7….well said. What did I miss? As to the OP, I hope you find what you are looking for in the CAD field. Our son is in that field now and would love to eventually be able to do it from the road. Good Luck.Re: Inverter-where oh where is it??? J-Rooster wrote: Hi this might not apply to you since I'm a Winnebago Owner? And this might help a Winnebago Owner to locate there inverter. My inverter is located under the stove in the kitchen. Under the stove is a drawer pull out the drawer and your looking at the inverter. I was told that a inverter is located close to your house batteries. I'll have to check that out. Interesting!! Mr. Wizard, disconnecting from shore power, the TV does not work. I didn't check outlets. The batteries do charge with shore power and the generator.Re: Inverter-where oh where is it??? wny_pat wrote: I would suggest that if you ask were there are a large number of Monaco owners, you would get much better answers, and not so many guesses. Monaco Owner's Forum Another good suggestion, I just did that. Thanks!Re: Inverter-where oh where is it??? gatorcq wrote: Do you have a LCD display panel, measuring 4 x 4 (Possible with description RC 7)? This is display has 4 led in a vertical row on the left side, with a LCD display, and 3 or 4 buttons. This could be over the door, on the dash or next to a monitor panel. Someplace that would be visible and easy to see. Next how many batteries do you have? The inverter is always installed very close to them and they are 6 volts. I am not talking about the chassis batteries (used to start eng). I will have to look for something looking like this. Sounds like a treasure hunt, hopefully I will find the treasure. Like I said, it's in storage and I have some jobs for the next couple days but will definitely look for this. Sounds like it could be anywhere hidden according to coyote. Love this forum, everyone is so helpful. It may be a few days, I'll let you know what I find.Re: Inverter-where oh where is it???Update- tried all of your suggestions, looked in all these places and cannot find an inverter nor any evidence that the previous owner took it with him. It is confounding but we are pretty sure that we do not have an inverter on board at this time. Thanks for all the help!Re: Who do you have insurance with?Just changed from Progressive to Blue Sky. We did the Snapshot with Progressive and supposedly got a 30% discount on the toad. Even with that, Progressive couldn't come close to Blue Sky and we feel more comfortable with Blue Sky full-time insurance.Re: Inverter-where oh where is it???I have printed all your suggestions and will take it with me to go and check the locations. In the instructions for installation it states to not install by heat or anything that might be corrosive, so I'm hoping it's not in the battery compartment. The RV is close by in storage so I will go check all these locations and post what I find. A question though, what type of inside control panel would it be? We have the EMS which has a control panel but that's the only control panel in the RV. (please don't tell me the EMS is for the inverter that I can't find, I would really feel stupid) Can you tell electric is not my strongpoint??? Again thanks for the help!
