The 30 AMP fuse at the battery was blown. Not sure how that happened. Also, I tested that fuse earlier and got a good reading. Crazy! We're all good now. Thanks!!!!PLEASE HELP! Batteries are not operating rigI pulled up to camp tonight and disconnected from the truck. Thats when I noticed that tongue jack wasn't working. None of the LED lights worked.I pulled out the Champion generator and it all works. I cut it off and nothing works. The 2x 6 volt batteries have a charge and are reading 12 volts when the generator if not running. If I turn off the generator, I lose all power. What's going on? I can see that the batteries are connected properly.Re: Filling fresh water tank question mbopp wrote: White RV hoses are supposed to be lead-free, though I've seen garden hoses advertised as "drinking water safe." Hoses are relatively inexpensive - why not buy another RV hose? I already have 2 and don't want to buy another if it's not necessaryFilling fresh water tank questionI know you're not "supposed" to use a regular garden hose to fill fresh water but we all drank from one as a kid and nothing happened to us. My fresh water hoses are too short to reach the spigot at my home so what if I use a garden hose to reach out to the trailer then filter the water with a Camco TastePURE Water Filter before it enters into the trailer? Water I drink while camping is filter again via a Brita filter.Issues with RV Four SeasonsTook my travel trailer in to get some work done. I had a water leak when filling the fresh water tank. I also wanted a battery disconnect installed and anti-sway bar installed. I wasn't comfortable with drilling into the frame so I thought I'd have these guys do it. I read horror stories about Camping World so I went with RV Four Seasons (which also sells Starcraft and is where this trailer came from). Went to pick it up today and noticed that the battery disconnect was installed on the positive side. This isn't how I would have installed it. I would have used the negative side as I'm sure most other people with knowledge of 12 volt systems would have done. Well, I didn't make a stink about that but I did comment on it. When I went to prop open the door though I noticed that the metal arm did not lift freely. Open further investigation, I noticed that the female part on the door was bent with cracks in the door around the mounting. Also the male part was bent too. Someone tried closing the door with the door prop in use. They had to try to close the door pretty hard to bend it that bad. Manager said they'd fix it. I hope they do a good job. Somehow though I don't see that happening. Why is it so hard to get good service? Also, the panel that was removed to access the fresh water fill was not reinstalled. I can do that myself but, ****, I paid over $1,000 to them. Come on guys! Get it together!!!Re: Jensen AWM970 Uncommanded ActionsIndoor/outdoor is just the fader setting on a normal car radioRe: Jensen AWM970 Uncommanded ActionsIf you're sure that no one is accidentally sitting on the remote then try CTRL-ALT-DEL reset itRe: 2 or 4 6V batteries.I'd go with 4. No one ever wishes they had less batteriesRe: What do you use for a BBQ?I use a Weber 1200 and modified it to run off my propane tanks in the trailer. Propane Gear has a kit for the upgrade at http://propanegear.com/weber-q-rv-quick-connect-kit-12-hose/ I love this setup!
