All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Power Tongue Jack only goes upHave had the same problem in both the extend and retract positions at various times. Most of the time, spraying contact cleaner in the switch has fixed it. In the winter, I think water freezes in the switch. Just have to keep playing with it until it works. Since purchasing a cover, the problems for us have decreased.Re: What Did You Do To Your Travel Trailer Today?Well, I hugged it yesterday because it finally came back home after 3 months at the factory for warranty work. But today, I started moving things back in, exercised our Honda generators which gave me heat inside the trailer, and started dreaming of the places we'll go this year.Re: Frameless windowsYes I more than likely had an installation issue. But I guess I learned that an internal seal that is not installed properly may not show any signs of water penetration until major problems arise. In retrospect I would much rather have an external bead of silicone I can inspect and touch up regularly much like my roof seals. Not something I cannot see. Yes, it's not a 100% fool proof method but something I will consider from now on when I purchase an RV. I know my opinion is based upon my circumstance but never had a problem with the other 6 RV's I owned that had the framed windows.Re: Frameless windowsWe have the frameless windows on our Palamino Solaire and unfortunately we have had problems. Our trailer is back at the factory for repairs now. Our dealer told us the window has an internal seal. Our rear window and a side window were not installed correctly. We apparently must have had slow unnoticeable leaks which led to wall and floor damage. We had owned the trailer about 10 months when we noticed bubbling on the interior wall covering and exterior fiberglass. Luckily the repairs are being done under warranty.Re: Anyone make a mistake buying first MH ?We didn't really realize we made a mistake until we purchased our current MH and now wonder why we didn't start this way. We previously had 2 5vers and never realized how much better a MH fit our lifestyle.
