Before I even look at a vehicle we have already agreed on a percentage above or below invoice. Now the only thing left is finding the truck I want. Easy.Re: F-150 Crew Max Tow vs. Hideout 30ft TTI can't believe this post is still ongoing. I think the lesson learned from this post is that we can all agree to disagree. By the sound of this thread, none of us know what we are talking about.Re: F-150 Crew Max Tow vs. Hideout 30ft TTI will get lambasted for saying this, but I tow a 36 foot KZ Durango with my 2012 Tundra and it pulls and stops fine. As long as your within specs, I am slightly over on payload, I don't think you will have an issue. I think you will be fine and you should enjoy the trip. BTW, I live in the west and handle the mountain passes fine. It can be done, just be careful.Re: Toyota Tundra as a TV???I love my 2012 Tundra CrewMax. You can't beat the power and interior comfort of the CrewMax. I get almost 18mpg when empty and 9 - 10mpg when towing. I tow a 8,300lbs TT and have been happy with the set up. Like everyone said, payload can be an issue. All half tons will have that issue unless HD package. I am loaded almost 350lbs over payload and with proper weight distribution hitch sit completely level. Only you can decide if you are comfortable being over payload. I am within all other weights.Re: not rv but boat?I believe the new for 2015 Ford Expedition is offered only with the 3.5 EcoBoost. That may be just the rig you are looking for. I believe they hit lots in a few months.Re: Safest way to travel with 6 in a pickup? We put our child in the center seat and she is still in a harness type car seat. Have not had any issue except for lack of elbow room while turning.Re: Would You TowIt looks like you are looking at a gross weight of roughly 9300lbs on the trailer. The issue is going to be payload. Get a good weight distribution hitch and possibly bags or helper springs. I tow a 8500lb TT with my 2012 Tundra CrewMax. I am over payload by almost 300 lbs. and it pulls fine. But I load everything in the trailer and keep bed empty because of the tongue weight. I am within all axle ratings. You need to decide if you are comfortable over payload rating or not. It will definitely tow it though, should you, up to you.Re: 2005 F350 6.0 Headlight Bulb ReplacementI had an Infiniti G35 where the wheels and fender well had to be removed to get to the headlight. What a pain that was.Re: 2012 Tundra..any reason not to buy itMy experience with theTundra has been flawless. I think sometimes there is to much information available on the internet and the squeeky wheel makes all the noise. This is a small issue, every manufacturer has recalls like this. It is not a big deal and not a deal breaker.Re: 2012 Tundra..any reason not to buy itI have a 2012 CrewMax 5.7 and it has been flawless. I have 30k on the odometer and have had all recalls done. I have never experienced any of the howling issues. I do know the FFV is supposed to have issues. Just make sure it is not FFV. I tow a 32' Durango coming in at 8500lbs with no problems. Handles the grapevine in SoCal with ease both up and down. The engine just likes to rev, let her. I average 18 mpg, mostly freeway, though in LA it is a lot of stop and go. Towing I average between 8.5 and 10.5. Depends on wind and terrain.
