Thanks, BeaveRe: Problems with a Jayco Seneca that I was going to buy$3,000 is right on the money for new Seneca tires if you put on quality rubber. I just turned 100,000 miles and put my 3rd set of XZEs on it. $500 bucks a pop...more or less. Our kitchen slide sometimes howls when going in or out...its the rubber seal not flexing in the direction of slide movement...no big deal. The rest...that is disturbing. BoliRe: Long term SenecaWe now have 93,000 miles on our '06 35GS. (Got it Sept 2007) Fridge door broke. Step motor. One glow plug on drive motor. Short in instrument cluster that drove me crazy for 2 years. Engine A/C compressor just got replaced. Just installed 3rd set of tires. That's pretty much it! BeaveRe: Jayco seneca, adding air rideI did fronts and rears on my '06 35GS. Worth every penny. BeaveRe: 08 Seneca 35GSWe have an '06 35GS and love it! We did rear springs, shocks, airbags, front and rear track bars and sway bars and a steering stabilizer. The only problem we had was an intermittent gauge issue traced to a bad ground and the fridge door broke. We got it in '07 and now have 90,000 miles on it and 2400 hours on the generator. You will be very happy with your new rig...welcome to Seneca World! BeaveRe: Chevy C5500 Kodiak HID Bulb ReplacementWhat will happen is that when you get everything wired correctly, the DRL system will activate your HIDs. They will be on all of the time. Under the dash on the passenger side is a fuse box that has a DRL fuse in it. 13, 15...18...something like that. Anyway...pull the fuse. You will still have the green DRL indicator illuminated on the dash but your headlights will now operate normally. BeaveRe: Chevy C5500 Kodiak HID Bulb ReplacementThere is a big thread I started a few years ago about me doing the conversion. Anyway...you can get two harnesses that simply plug in that change the wires around for you. http://www.rallylights.com/all/electrical/wiring-harness/hdlmp-adapter/hl66490-adapter-from-165mm-sealed-beams-to-h4-conversion-lamps.html Beave PS. Don't forget to disable your DRLs or that will be your next big surprise.Re: Jayco Seneca 37RB or Tiffin Allegro 36LASitting here again at Ft. Wilderness having a ball. We purchased our 06 Seneca 35GS in 2007 and now have 85,000 miles on it. Other than the fridge door hinge breaking and a chassis gauge ground problem we have been pretty issue free. We have upgraded TVs and other little things (air bags, sway bars, shocks etc). We love it...drive the wheels off of it and would like to get the new bunk house model one day (2013). Cheers, BeaveRe: Class C Campsite Photos. Show your stuff.
