Awesome, the 2019 F350 SRW 6.7 King Ranch I have been looking at, with the sticker of $82000.00, can be had for $52000.00? I'll be there when they open. Get me one at that price! I’ll even pay you $5k for your troubles!Re: Nissan Titan XD 5.0L Cummins? Bionic Man wrote: If you look for issues on any vehicle, you will find them. This one included. Personally I don’t understand the appeal of this truck. The 5.0 is too big to have a large advantage in mpg like the 3.0’s do and it is too small to offer the real pulling power that the 6.7 does. That said, it would be more than adequate to do what you’ve suggested you need. Have you done a test drive? I have driven one, rides very nice and plenty of power. Really does ride like a cross between 1/2 and 3/4 ton, like a 5/8. But some of the negative reviews, lack of potential dealer support (especially with a diesel), and lack of sales (i.e. will it continue) have me concerned overall.Re: Nissan Titan XD 5.0L Cummins? carringb wrote: Are you set on a diesel? The F150 Max Payload 3.5L is probably the package closest in specs to the Titan XD, including similar levels of torque.. They are hard to find, but any dealer with a fleet department should be able to find and/or order one, and probably give you fleet pricing at the same time. And then you won't have to worry about your winter drive cycle. Not set on a diesel at all. I've looked at the F150s, and my local dealer did a search and found ONLY 2 in the whole upper Midwest. I am thinking about it, just not the color and options I'd be looking for.Re: Nissan Titan XD 5.0L Cummins? AlmostAnOldGuy wrote: SouthpawHD wrote: Them not selling well is also a concern. Now how about a test drive of the Ram 2500 with the 6.4 and new transmission... Take it easy, Stu I’ve looked at a few ‘18 Rams. As for ‘19s, the inventory just isn’t there especially at a similar price point.Re: Nissan Titan XD 5.0L Cummins? camp-n-family wrote: SouthpawHD wrote: Yep, lower payload for sure. But there were a few owners that had no issues.Re: Nissan Titan XD 5.0L Cummins?Yep, lower payload for sure. But fits my purposes. Them not selling well is also a concern. I had a Chevy 6.0L for almost 3 years and then when we parked the TT on a permanent lot, I didn't need a 3/4 on. Then bought a Sierra 1500. It's a fine truck, just really miss the bigness of the 3/4 ton platform. So seeing that I am obsessed with trucks, I started looking again. Came across some pretty good deals on a Nissan with the 5.0L. Now, I don't need a diesel. I only tow a few times per year. But the deals on these things are pretty solid, so it got me thinking. I do take a lot of short trips in the winter, definitely a big strike against a diesel. But in the summer, we get up the lake frequently, so that is good for a diesel. So what say you? Yea or nay?Re: Last year's truck sales . GM is doing something right! SidecarFlip wrote: Me, I'm not a fan of any of them, well, we own them all, GM, Ford and FCA. Thank for the humble brag and letting us all know they are all paid for, that was important to know...Re: Can I tow this? You can tow it, but you’ll quickly run out of payload on a weekend trip with the family. Take your tongue weight of around 750 pounds dry. Add propane tanks, battery, W/D hitch and now you’ll be north of 900 pounds. And that does not include water if you need to fill your tank. Add food, beverages, gear, humans, you’ll quickly approach or exceed your 1500-1600 pounds of payload. I’ve towed with a 1500, 1500 max tow, and a 2500. Both 1500s tow just fine - except in windy conditions or on major highway systems when semis go by. No fun. The 2500 towed so much better, especially if camping frequently. I sold my 2500 last summer (I regret that a little bit), but I only twice a year now, so I got the truck the better suited me 95% of the time.
