The trim on these campers covers the separation between the fiberglass shell and wall insert, these 2 spots do not overlap like northern lite and Bigfoot...so if that trim has pulled away it can leak from there as well.Re: Peak kodiak sc83 camper leaking helpOh, also, check the hose for your water fill spot on your left front, I seem to remember the hose going into the water tank from that leaking at bit at one point as well....turn on your water pump and see if it cycles every so often without use, and that will tell you if the fresh water system is leaking internally....you should be able to unscrew the plywood under the dinette to gain access to most of the components on that sideRe: Peak kodiak sc83 camper leaking helpCheck the fittings on the water heater, mine had a slight leak and dripped out of that spot.....also had a leaky bunk window on the other side, water would run down the shell and drip out of the hold down on that side lol...that said, wicked tough campers, and always have a cool look.Re: Does anyone need some used Happijacs?I would take them, but I'm betting shipping them up to the great white north would be a bit pricy lolRe: Help! Water under the skin, delamination and damage.https://www.nroa2003.com/download/Northwood%20Brochures/2005-Camper-Brochure-pd-11-04.pdf Once again, her 2005 Silverfox edition is aluminum frame, water intrusion on this camper will not effect its main structure and is quite repairable compared to its wood framed counterpart.Re: Help! OH NOOOOOOO! Guess it just keeps getting better (sigh) Thank you for telling me. Such a bummer! Saved up all my pennies for a time bomb. Learning opportunities can be expensive! :-( Don't listen to him, his info is wrongRe: Help! Water under the skin, delamination and damage. Mid 04 if you want to get technical, all 2005's are aluminum, hence the "silver fox edition" that's what it means!Re: Help! I did this repair on my 2005 af990.. If its an aluminum frame why is the cab over drooping?? The filon delamonates, fills with water, turns into a birdbath and sags down in the middle, the cab over section itself is not sagging down...it behaves like a waterbed if you press on it...another fun tidbit, af used thick cardboard material between the filon and the wood veneer. It soaks up water like a sponge and would never dry out. No you won't fall thru the bed, the stringers are aluminum as well, and block foam insulation glued between, nice part is, water can't really wick into the interior. Having said that, the repair is still a big job, im a tradesman as well so it's just normal repair work for me. I dont recommend taking it on yourself if you don't feel you have the skill set to pull it off. Also, I would have it inspected for more water damage before digging into it, the cab over water leak was only one of about 5 areas that I fixed due to water damage.....they are a nice well built camper, but water intrusion is a bit of a issue with them If you can't do the repair work yourself, for sure get quotes...it won't be cheap.Re: Help!
