Air Conditioner Upgrade/Replacement
I have a 2011, 30' Flagstaff TT. I want to upgrade my 13500 BTU Dometic with a 15K Ducted unit. I hope to do this before I have RV Armour roof installed on the TT. Has anyone replaced their AC unit with an upgrade? If so, what model is recommended. Once I select a durable unit, I will install it, then have the roof resurfaced. I have a 35 FT Flagstaff TT. I had a solid metal/tube cargo rack welded to the rear after removing the bumper. It is welded to the frame. I also have a 2" receiver welded under this cargo rack. This rack weighs 140 LBS. On this rack I put a 150 LB Honda Genny and a 160 lb tool box. So I have considerable weight on the rear end of this TT. It does slope down in the rear. The back door binds. I have stabilizer jacks under the rack which when I lower them to raise the cargo rack or take the weight off the frame. the door does not bind. This tells me I have a problem . I found on line exactly what I need. Under "Weight Bearing Wheel "mrtrailer.com". But they (the company that made this weight bearing wheel assy.) went out of business 8 years ago. I use a guitar string to clean the emulsion tube with all the little holes. Then carb cleaner and air. But this has been an annual event for me. So I have come to expect it, even after I run it dry, use 100% gas/no ethanol, and drain the bowl. But I love my Honda 2000IE.425Views0likes0CommentsNevada - - Bitter Springs Trail - Byway
This 28 mile trail is located in Nevada, outside Las Vegas on and near the Valley of Fire SP. Has anyone driven this trail lately? I plan on driving it with my F250 Super Duty 4X4. I have been looking online to see how difficult the trail is. I hope to get some maps of the area also. Any input from anybody thats been there, drove the trail and what type vehicle, and got the T-Shirt will be much appreciated? Thank You. I was just at Edisto Beach State Park Live Oaks campground for 5 days. The beach section was booked, but my wife and brother in his RV, we all liked Live Oak. Plenty of shade, secluded sites. Not crowded at all. Many sites open. Elec & Water. Dump station is across the road from Live Oak campground. Bath houses were nice. The water is something else. It is clean, no smell, but has a distinct salinity taste to it and when in the shower the water feels "slippery". Best way I can describe it. So we used bottled water for coffee and cooking. You can take your own water jug and refill it at the town water plant, located next to the town hall. No need to pay for filtered water at the BI-LO Easy Ice kiosk. Now- The "Pig" has been replaced by BI-LO. and I was shocked to see some of the sale prices they had there. very very nice prices. Bud Light, case, $13.50. Some items are more, but they have a select few to feed. Plus their small Deli offers breakfast foods and lunch and dinner foods. For a store so small, they foot the bill. Check out Botany Bay preserve while there. We were in Spot 96. My brother has dogs. He got 3 ticks on himself and I'm sure they came off the dogs as the dogs have tick medicine. So look for ticks, Did not appear to be the tiny-deer ticks. Somewhat larger. Going into CHS, drive to Citadel Mall, park and ride there on Savannah HWY bus route #30 and the ride is 85 cents for seniors exact change. Lot less hassle then driving downtown CHS and then finding a place to park. Takes about 30 min from the mall to King Street. Buses run about every 40 min. but always check schedule. Take the sunset cruise eco tour with Cpt Anderson and Meg. Great trip on a 24FT Skiff. No latrines on board. Nay questions ask.738Views0likes0Comments
