Yes have used one for years at home & camping because can adjust range. we were in an RV in Arizona for 3 months & used it. adjusted range to size of campsite. no ropes to untangle .worked great

I am also disappointed in the trip tips Miss the maps on the back of page that gave you an overview of where you were the are much harder to follow & will not use them again!
use wax paper & crisco wipe out as much rust as possible w/ this then cover w/crisco again & put in low oven for hour or so wipe again it will return to like new after several times
