Indeed, you need to be very careful of letting the nozzle get to close to the rubber fabric because it'll peel. A learning experience and spent another day on the roof patching and caulking. DumoldlesRe: REMINDER TO ALL: Keep a safe distance when towingI drive through Vegas several times a year and always give a big sigh when I make it. I agree make sure and give plenty of space when towing these huge rigs. DumoldlesRe: Anderson Hitch - unhitchingDon't see a problem here, seems normal...make sure you truck break is on and chocks are set. DumboldlesRe: Good service experienceThanks Lyle, your absolutely correct.Re: Good service experienceI believe the bolt that broke is called a cross bolt, I have had it happen before. It happened while the slide was being adjusted at my dealer in Saint George, Utah. Talking with the tech that fixed it this last time, he said the bolt shears when it becomes loose; another item to check while on the road. I may start carrying extras because the process doesn't seem that difficult. Lining up the hole, dropping in the bolt and tightening. DumoldlesRe: 5th. Wheel StablizationHave the 6 point, don't need anything else. DumoldlesGood service experienceWe had a bolt shear while retracting our offside slide in the eastern portion of Idaho. With help from a friend was able to push the side of the slide in. DW found Smith RV in Idaho Falls. We pulled in and explained problem to service advisor, he checked it out and had a tech out to fix the problem. We feel we were fortunate because we were back on the road within 1/2 hour. Smith RV, Idaho Falls, Good people good service. The folks at RV Lock were real nice and sent me a replacement unit that sits on my work bench waiting for me to figure out what to do with it. I decided to go with the the original lock set that came with my camper. Sometimes simple works out better. DumoldlesRe: RockersBack to back and strapped down. Use blankets between the tie downs and chairs for protection against rubbing. Dumoldles
