It will be nice to have an updated receiver.Dish Hopper 3This topic has been moved to another forum. You can read it here: 29927914Dish Hopper 3During my travels for 3 months during this coming winter, I’m planning on taking my Dish Network Hopper 3 from my house and using it in my rv with my Winegard Traveler dish. Will I be able to change my “service address” to receive the local channels as I travel around to different locations?Re: How Hard Is It To Solo In A Class A?I am a solo driver also of a 41ft Class A motorhome. I have found the easiest way for me to back into a site is to use orange cones. I put 2 on each side and one at the back of the site. The cones are much easier to see in your cameras and mirrors. Takes the guess work out of backing in.Re: AGS Coming On By ItselfMy coach was plugged into 50 amp. I had drained all the tanks including the hot water tank as I wouldn’t be traveling for a few months. I shut off the breakers for the refrigerator and the hot water tank. One day I turned on the air conditioner while I was cleaning the coach. The generator immediately came on also even while still being plugged into 50 amp. For a couple days I was googling all over the internet trying to find out why the generator came on. Finally, found the answer. As soon as I turned the hot water heater breaker back on, the generator never started up again on its own while being plugged in. Have no idea why, but that was the solution to my problemRe: Towbar suggestionsRoadmaster Blackhawk All Terrain. I am a female that travels solo and I haven't had any problems hooking or unhooking my Jeep for the 12 years I have been rvingRe: Roadmaster Spare Tire CarrierI bought one and had it installed while in Quartzsite. I already was carrying a spare tire but no wheel. Went down to the Loves tire store and had my tire mounted on a wheel. I am a 68 year old female that drives a 40 foot DP and tows a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Because I travel alone, I like the security of having a spare. Hopefully I will never have to use it. After it was installed I tried lowering it to the ground and then raising it back into position. It was an effort but I was able to do it. Speedco had access to fill and check my oil without lowering the tire. I am very happy with the purchase!Re: Roadside Assistance - TiresCoach-NetRe: Issues with new coachI have a 2014 Itasca Meridian that had a slide failure first trip out. I took it to the dealership for repair and had it fail again soon after. That was when I decided to take it to the Winnebago factory for any repairs that needed to be done. I have been to the factory 4 times since I bought it. This is my 4th Winnebago and it also is the first one that has needed repairs. The good part is that the factory does a great job on repairs and I'm usually on my way in 2-3 days. When the appointment is for Monday morning at 7am, the repairs are started Monday morning by 7:30am. Yes, it is very frustrating when things constantly need attention but I guess that is part of RV ownership. I hope all your repairs are addressed and you can begin enjoying your new RV. Good luck. You might consider a trip to Forest City for your repairs. They built them and know better than anyone how to repair them. Plus all the parts for repairs are available immediately.Re: Cover or no Cover?I use a Calmark custom made cover for my 40 foot Class A. This is my 4th RV and I've used this brand cover for each of them. Most of my traveling is done during the winter so the cover is used for protection from the sun and to keep it clean during the summer months. I have never had a problem with them rubbing the paint off or getting holes. These covers definitely cost more but they are quality made. I am a 66 year old female and I put the cover on and take it off by myself, usually about a 30 minute job each time. I just take my time and be very careful, especially when on top of the RV.
