Mine is a cable ssystem and I think the slide just rests on the floor to slide in and out.Re: How to replace wood floor in slide out?Bob- I saw those videos and they aren't any help as I don't have the means to remove the slide out. It is a 2012 Open Range 325. Apparently that year they had faulty slide seals and since changed the design. edit....Different videos than I thought they were. Can this be done on my unit which has cable controlled slides? How to replace wood floor in slide out?So I think the floor needs to be replaced in our slide out. Can it be done without removing the slide? If so, how? I am very handy at DIY stuff and I looked at several videos on line and it said to remove the slide which I rather not do as I don't have a barn or anywhere big enough to do that. Are there any tutorials or videos that show the process? I have done several searches and they don't return great results. NickRe: Higher end brands? The issue is that I am on the east coast and all the higher end brands are west coast built.Re: Higher end brands?Ducks----That is NOT good news for quality of RV's!!! Now I'm wondering if I should buy one that is 2-3 years old......Re: Higher end brands?Airstreams are nice but we need a lot of room with slide outs. Going to check into Outdoors RV, Arctic Fox, and another Open Range. Are there any of the mid tier to high end brands that are less prone to roof and slide out leaks?Re: Higher end brands?Dave- Good info there. I did know that OR was built by Highland but did not know it was Jayco. I'm guessing Jayco is not that great of a company? I'm going to look into Outdoors RV also.Re: Higher end brands?Yeah Airstream is out of the question for numerous reasons, space being one. Don't want custom, but just something that will last and feels solid.Higher end brands? So we are in the market for a different TT. We currently own an Open Range and like the quality of it. Seems very well built and good quality. Having said that, this is our second TT after a smaller Forest River Hybrid. So what are are some brands that are of better build quality? Less issues with leaks, slideout issues, good resale value......Any info would be great!!!
