If the renter fails to pay CTC will repo the RV and continue to pay the rental fees as they have now assumed the debt. They place a GPS tracker in the RV to monitor where the RV is. More to follow as I work through this myself.Coast to Coast Marine and CoachWe are selling our 5'er and in the process of selling we have been approached by a bunch of "Brokers" looking to sell our RV for us. We have dismissed them all, but one. Coast to Coast Marine and Coach basically lists and markets your RV for free and then finds buyers who set up their credit through CTC. That is where they make their money. It makes sense and we have had an offer. The only kicker is that you basically get the monthly payments from CTC after they take their piece off the top. Here is how it works in out case: They know what we wanted and are getting a bit more to us because of the interest charge on the loan. you get a small down payment up front and then you get the monthlies. After the predetermined payout period, you get the balance at the end. I am a trust but verify guy, so if anyone has heard of them let me know. Good or bad, any thoughts as well. We don't get everything up front, but don't really need it. The payments are monthly so you can react if something goes wrong. CTC backs the loan. I might be missing something and if I am let me know. It doesn't sound too good to be true, but it seems like an ok way to sell something that isn't burning up the market.Re: Hitch sizeI have the OEM Puck system in the bed. So, no torquing.Re: Hitch size jerem0621 wrote: One issue for some with the B&W is that you have to torque down a few bolts in order to be installed correctly. Jeremiah I am not sure what needs to be torqued down, it looks like you drop it in and rotate the levers to the center and pin. What part needs to be torqued, and does it need it every time?Re: Hitch sizeTalk to me about the B&W, always used reese hitches to this point.Re: Hitch sizeAnswered my own question.Re: Hitch size Water-Bug wrote: Buy the hitch to match the capability of the TV. Then you can safely tow anything that your truck is rated to tow and won't be tempted to tow anything larger. Why buy a vehicle that can tow *****lbs and not have a hitch that can handle it? Why buy a hitch rated at more than your vehicle can safely tow? The answer to your question is obvious when you think about it. Very good way to think about it (don't know why I didn't), without blasting me. I appreciate the info. The cost is a small factor, but safety and common sense are worth the extra dime.Hitch sizeAll. Quick question. You would think I could make my own decision on this, but I turn to you guys for a bit of advice. I am upgrading both my TV and 5'er. The new TV has an under bed mount for the hitch so i am selling my current Reese slider and getting a new one. Here is the question: New TV is 2014 F350 DRW 8' Crew blown out. New 5'er is the Cyclone 4100 King. It has a GVWR of 18,000. Do I just go with a 18K Hitch or would you go bigger always knowing you are not getting close to the hitch weight rating?? Not really knowing about the engineering of 5'er hitches, I am not sure if they are over engineered or rated pretty close to their advertised number. What is the real difference in the 18 vs 20 or 25k? Thanks.Temperature in the garageAll, Getting ready to make the change to a TH from a regular 5'er. Wife is very concerned with the temperature regulation in the garage when used for living quarters. Our 5'er sucks for temp in the back room. We are looking at Heartland, so that may be a stepping off point. Probably going to go with the 3rd ac so cool won't be a problem. But what about warmth in the winter, if used for skiing. Is there insulation for the floor in the garage? How does the non insulated back door affect the temp as well. Thanks in advance.Looking for something that doesn't exist?Posted in the 5'er forum and copying it here: We have had a Keystone Laredo for about 4 years now, we love it, it is what it is and we are good with that. We are looking to upgrade and fell in love the room and design of the toy haulers, but alas, we do not own any toys. We like the Heartland Road Warriors, the larger ones, but what I want is a regular 5'er with a Toy Hauler rear end. Think the front and salon of a RW 425, but in the Garage area, No ramp door, a couch that ran along the back wall, and only one queen that descends from the ceiling. Everything else the same except, we would not need the weight capacity of hauling toys so you could make it lighter, not a show stopper though. Does such an animal even exist? Thoughts, ideas, leads?? The only two bedroom ones that I find are either pull out couches or bunk rooms. How hard would it be? Guests would even have their own door to their bedroom and their own bathroom. It is a win win, but cannot even get close to one in current production.
