All I ever ask of it is to take me from point A to point B the fastest way. Sometimes it wants to take me on a route I do not want and it's nearly impossible to make a quick/easy change to the route. My old TomTom was so much easier to use, but lacked a few features the new Garmin has. I think when I get home I'll test out one of the new TomTom units that has more features than my old one.Re: Garmin got stubbornI bought a new Garmin RV 760 a short time back and I find it the most user unfriendly GPS ever. Wipe the rams down with ATF. With the rams wet with ATF try to retract the rams. It might take 2 or 3 times wetting the rams and retracting to get them to operate. It's a easy try to get them working.Re: Pre-fill water in blackwater tank?I have always done a pre-fill. After dumping I fill the bowl to the top 3 times as a measure for pre-fill. And still use plenty of water with each flush of solids. When I am home for at least 4 weeks I fill the tank about 3/4 full with water and add a cup of Rid-X, then just let it stand till the next trip out.Re: Model Train enthusiastsHERE is a model train layout worth a trip to see.User friendly GPSI recently purchased a Garmin RV 760 GPS and find it to be the most unfriendly GPS I have ever used, this includes the Base Camp program that's suppose to make it easy. I'm sending it back. Big question is what brand and model do you have that you consider user friendly to use? I guess it's not all that important to me to have it RV rated. I have an old TomTom that I always thought was very easy to use along with the program to program it with a computer. But the TomTom lacks in defining lanes and lane usage. I'm 72 years old and maybe a little slow on my learning curve, I know this alone doesn't help. I'm not looking for any comments from those defending the RV 760, I've made up my mine it's not for me. ThanksRe: Garmin BasecampI just bought a Garmin RV 760, it and basecamp have to be the worst designed GPS I ever laid my hands on. Of course I'm 72 years old and nothing comes easy these days. I don't have the time to find a replacement right now, but soon as I get home someone can have it for cheap on Ebay and I'll find something more user friendly.looking for a campgroundAnyone know of a campground along I-65 just south of Indianapolis with pull thru's that will be open the first of April??Re: BRIGHTON, MICHIGAN WEIGH STATIONCheck with area gravel pits and scrap yards.Re: Anyone using this battery disconnect switch in their TOAD?It's not good on a vehicle that needs to have a full constance disconnect when being towed (such as the Ford Focus) even a slight momentary connection at the switch can cause issues. And bouncing/pot holes on the road this switch will close at times making a short term connection.
