I don't think you understand the meaning of diminished value. Try this, you go looking for a vehicle. You find two of the exact same year, make, model, color, miles, etc., etc. They both drive and were maintained in same shape. Now, you pull a vehicle history report and notice that one has an adverse notation of "Accident - Front End - Major" showing. Are you saying you would not value the one without the accident higher and the one with the accident lower? Take a car/truck into a dealer to trade it in that has had damage that was reported and on a car facts and see what happens. Diminished Value is not a term that insurance companies like to hear unless it is in thier favor. Example: I had a rebuilt title 98 Buick Riviera that I used as a daily commuter. I bought it at an insurance auction, it had a damaged front bumper cover, left headlight and fender. I repaired it, less than 2K for parts, (this was a few years back). I drove it for years and then gave it to my son who was promply rear ended by someone talking on their phone instead of paying attention to what they were doing. They had no insurance, ours covered it on the uninsured motorist coverage. At the time it was worth about 4500 per the blue book, they paid 2k! The reason?? it had been totaled before! Did they give me a 50% discount on the coverage costs all the time I had it insured with them? NO!!! Rant over.... Get a lawyer. That is the only way to fight it. IT will not be worth it. The legal fees are going to more than surpass any gains you will get on the diminished value claim.438Views0likes0CommentsRe: Foggy Door Glass
Too far away for you I would think but there is a place in Oregon that cuts new laminated glass to replace the foggy. We are having ours done on the way to AZ in November. $325.00 out the door. 3-4 hour delay on the trip is all. That and I can get it tinted as well at no extra charge! I had a car that was like that. New tires and it shook. Back to the tire store for a re-balance... same thing. Was told it was not the tires must be something else. I asked why it did not have the problem before and they just looked at me. Took it of all places to Walmart since I had to do a bunch of shopping anyway, an hour later... no shake! Went back to the folks I bought the tires from and they STILL insisted that it was the car, not their equipment! Just food for thought.322Views0likes0CommentsSolar Panels
Good evening all, I have a HR Class A that we purchased used. It has three solar panels on the roof that are stationary. The solar system is charging the batteries, (4 6V GC 140Ah units new this year) Question: How do I tell what the wattage is of the installed panels? We are going to AZ in November and would like to do a bit of boondocking but I'm concerned that I may not have enough power. Ours was a 4" cheap one that came with the unit. We replaced it with a 10" latex standard queen and have been in heaven ever since. We have a foam one at home and it is OK, but this one is much better. It is a little too firm for the wife and her back is bothered by that at times but not always. I sleep like a baby...
