I took it to a hitch shop in Lansing and they built a new hitch. Much more capacity than they HH and very well built. Check with a custom hitch shop.Re: Is 70 the age to stop towingNo, not a toll or a troll. I've just enjoyed watching your fishing expeditions on the Net. I was just following the thread to see where it would go and who would get cranky when I noticed who the OP was. Good to see you're still active.Re: Is 70 the age to stop towingI called him out on the 3rd page:BRe: Is 70 the age to stop towingSupercharged was the troll:SRe: HiWelcome to the forum. What part of AZ are you in?Re: roadside assistance coverage on a trailerEASY.Rider We're in Queen Creek/San Tan Valley. We should be back by the end of October, early November. We are 38 miles from Casa Grande airport. Send me a PM and we can exchange info.Re: roadside assistance coverage on a trailerI had a similar situation. The hitch on my MH broke and the trailer needed to be towed to a safe place GSRA denied the request for the same reason as you have. I immediately cancelled GSRA and called my insurance company. They have been covering me for the last 5 years and even pulled my enclosed trailer out of some soft ground at no cost. Do yourself a favor and call your insurance company.Re: where you headedVerde valley AZ for week, then in july head for the FMCA Rally in Gillette WY. On to Rapid City and points in between. Atlantic Iowa end of July. Then up to Mi to see the grand kids, UP and Macinac Island, possibly Thousand Islands, then Boston, NH and Harpswell ME. From there north to Bah Habah and on to Lebec ME. No plans after that. The wife wants to see the changing of the colors in New England one more time. That'll get us back to AZ some time in early November. Then it 3 months of getting the property back in shape.Re: Tough finding motorhome insurance in massachusettsWe had Commerce Insurance from 97 to 07 on 2 different MHs in Mass.Re: Planning a Cross Country trip Summer of 2018, what to buyRoger, If you are in Haverhill MA, take a ride up 125 and start to look at what's available in a good used coach or 5th wheel. In your profile you mention that 4 of you will be traveling together. That means 4 in a crew cab and a 5th wheel or 4 in a class C or class A. In the 5th wheel you are more likely to have 2 beds, one in the bedroom and the other being a couch that makes into a bed. A class A would be similar in accommodations while a C may not have the couch but would a bed above the drivers seat. Gas or diesell will make the trip. We've driven both round trip, coast to coast. Also once you'very looked at a few and think you're close to see decision, rent one and take it out for a few days. Taking an RV trip sounds great, but it'seems not for everyone. Good luck in your endeavor.
