Hubby did find the breaker on the generator so that solved the issue of 1/2 of rig not working when generator running. Still had the issue with the other 1/2 not working on shore power. Had RV repair guy out and it is the transfer switch hanging up. All good now.Electrical Issues - connected to shore power or generatorWe have a 2015 Bay Hill 340RK. We have a propane Onan generator. We used it last night when we stayed at a truck stop. The outlets on the GFI (near kitchen and bathroom sinks and the microwave wouldn't work. Got to the RV park and plugged in, those outlets and microwave work but now the other side and the bedroom outlets don't work. The generator was installed by manufacturer and dealer. Any advice appreciated until we can get in touch with the dealer on Monday. Thanks, TrudiRe: Rear kitchensWe have a 2015 Bay Hill 340RK. No problems with anything bouncing around. My Keurig and kitchen tool crock ride just fine. I love our rear kitchen. Re: Why only one bed in a fifth wheel and why sooo tall?I love the ceiling height in our 5er. I don't feel cramped like we did in our travel trailer, when we would look inside motorhomes. I also feel like we have more inside storage with taller kitchen cabinets and pantry. Just my opinion.Re: New fiver - Bayhill 340rkWe ordered the 2015 Bay Hill 340RK in grey. The 2015 grey has the same gel coat as the tan/cream one has had in the 2014. We fell in love with it at the Houston RV Show in February. We had to wait until our house was sold. We have closing next week so we ordered it last Friday. We ordered it with the dual pane windows due to the condensation with regular windows when we are in Pennsylvania November to first week of January. We also added the tank heating pads for during that same time frame. We added the generator, too. Honestly, we added every option. It's our home. First one we bought brand new, so decided to get what we really wanted in one instead of wishing we would have. Enjoy, and let me know how it goes. TrudiRe: DirectvThey will no longer give us a service address change each time we move. So we had to take the DNS, per FCC rules (so they say), for $15 CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX out of New York and CW out of Washington. It is a pain since we don't get local programming but at least I still get to watch the major networks programming.Re: 5'ver Slider in considerations....You are right. We didn't consider this when buying our 5er last year. That goodness we can access kitchen, fridge, bathroom, and bedroom. Slide bed out a bit if I need into a set of the drawers. The slide does block the cabinet with our dogs' food, so we have to remember to leave the food out when we are traveling into the night.Re: Feeling a lot of heat on outside furnace ventThank you for your replies. Some pretty funny. :) TrudiRe: Feeling a lot of heat on outside furnace ventThank you, Harold! I appreciate the quick response.Feeling a lot of heat on outside furnace ventHi All, There is a lot, I mean a lot and very hot heat coming through the vent on the outside of RV. Is this normal?
