In some States it is considered a casual sale and not subject to sales taxes. When the buyer goes to the DMV to get the license plate they will get the answer. If it's subject to sales taxes the DMV will require proof of payment before they issue a plate or transfer of title. Does this mean that the DMV will collect the sales tax from the purchaser OR is the sales tax supposed to be part of what I collect as the seller? Do I have to report that I sold this on my taxes? Thank you for your help.paying taxes on sale of used pop upHellO: We live in California and are about to sell our used pop up to an individual. It has been a long time since I have sold a vehicle, is selling a pop up like selling a used car? Does the buyer or seller have to pay tax on the sale? Who gets the tax money? Thank you in advance for any help you might be. I know that I sign over the title. Do I need a bill of sale?Re: Air Conditioner issues dwhite60 wrote: I've run mine on 15 amp power before without a problem but, it's ALL that is on. The longer the run the bigger cord you need. You should have an adapter to plug your shore cord into that will then plug into a standard 120V household outlet. If you need you can then add an extension cord between the plug and outlet. All the Best, D. White Thank you everyone! I followed your advise and it works now!Re: Air Conditioner issues RimCountry wrote: Not sure I follow the way you have the A/C hooked up... not sure why you need a converter (inverter?) if you're using shore power. One or the other is fine, but not both. So are you saying that I should be plugging the extension cord directly into the plug coming out of pop up and the other end of extension cord, directly in to the power plug in garage? Thank you, TinaAir Conditioner issuesWith my pop up parked in my driveway, I was testing the A/C and had hooked up the cord attached to the popup to a 30 amp converter and plugged my extension cord in to it and the other end, in to my garage electricity. I turned on the fan and it worked but when I turned the other dial to cool, the whole unit stopped working. I have checked fuses and switched them out. The only one that looked like it might have been bad was in the tongue (but I don't understand if that would have anything to do with problem). After replacing fuses, it still does not work. The lights work in the pop up. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Thank you in advance.Leaking around skylight/vent/fanWhat do you all recommend for fixing a leak around the fan/vent in the roof of a pop-up? I bought that tape that some folks use, but a friend of mine used a product she painted on with a paintbrush that resealed the edges. Anyone have any luck with fixing such a leak? Thank you in advance for your help,Grease vs siliconeI own a 2006 Rockwood pop up. It's time to grease the cable. My question is, can I use silicone instead of grease?
