bad inside battery bypass switch
2009 winnebago access class c. the battery by pass switch by the entrance steps works when turns on (battery working), but when turn off to bypass the house batteries, the batteries stay on. when I took the switch out of the wall there was a square metal box. don't know how to test it or even if that is the problem. any ideas where to start? thanks! my 2 house batteries my class c are dead and Cales taken off. want to wait until spring to buy new ones, but want rv to be available for kids to sleep inside if needed during the winter. thanks for your unexpected offer. I probably couldn't call until later Sunday due to my wife's med problems. before leaving on our trip when I turned on the bypass switch so I could use the inside lights nothing happened. we left on our trip -plugged into 120v for 2 days. sill nothing. there was a bad cable connecting the 2 batteries so I replaced it when we stopped tonight . then when I pushed the switch the lights came on dimly when ever I pushed on or off but went out when I lifted my finger off the switch. then I checked the batteries-water was ok, but charge was only 10.4 v. any idea if they might charge 0vernight while hooked to 120v, if they don't then ???? inverter??? thanks for your ideas, seems like I only post when in trouble, but do enjoy reading other posts. chuck. class c winnebago 20072.3KViews0likes7CommentsRe: trying to get stuck tire off
Re my original question about a stuck wheel. so many good suggestions. I bought a thing to tighten the valve core before our trip, but couldn't find it when I needed it. I really think the core just needed to be tightened, but decided the tech was a tire expert so went with what he said- bad mistake. when we get home I'll take rv to someplace so they can do something to loosen the wheels-i'll suggest some of the things said below. thanks so much. chuck638Views0likes0Commentstrying to get stuck tire off
I stopped by a large tire store this am because at an overnight stop I noticed my outside right rear tire was 6 lbs low on pressure. according to my "spit" test the valve core was leaking. I didn't have anything to tighten it. the repair man said that the entire stem had to be replaced and to do that he had to remove the tire. I reluctantly said ok if he was sure. he took off the lug nuts but the tire was stuck so he couldn't get it off. he proceeded to use a 10 lb sledge with a 4' handle and began to pound the tire itself as hard as he could. after 20 times the tire was still stuck. so I told him to quit and just tighten the valve core and air it up. I'm wondering how much damage to the tire and if this was an accepted procedure. has any one else had this happen? thanks. chuck5.5KViews0likes23Commentsforgot what to call plastic thing to stick on rear window
