Roadtrek windows falling off
One bottom half of a CR Lawrencebrand awning window on my 2001 Roadtrek Vers. 190 came off the hinge and fell into the street when open and driving. This is the style of window that opens the lower half the horizontal with a twist knob inside and fixed top part. Not the full window with two snap latches as on the door. The window glass is attached the the C shaped hinge that runs the full length of the glass by adhesive. The adhesive just gave away after some 12 years. I got out of the rig and noticed the window was GONE! It was intact at the start of the day's drive so I reversed route and got lucky. It was laying in the middle of a street I had driven on 15 minutes earlier. Fortunately for me the street was a good mexican dirt street, mostly sand, so I was able to retrieve it undamaged. I glued the glass on the hinge with a commercial sealer/adhesive product and it is holding OK. Had to glue it back in situ as I could not figure out how to attache the hinge to the window then install it on the top hinge. Just a note as this can easily happen on the older rigs. I won't drive with one of those windows open again !! You might inspect yours if you have that type of window.2KViews0likes3CommentsPropane line for Road Trek 190V. 2001 & window
Propane line from the shut off valve in the gas filler compartment down to the propane tank snapped off. Anyone know is this is a standard line or need to get it from Roatrek? Also, drove with rear windows open to vent the propane and one fell off !! Found it in the street. Top hinge appears to be glued to the metal hinge ?? Anyone know anything how to repair this? Must be the potholes in Mexico rattling stuff apart !!692Views0likes0Comments
