All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Cleaning CanvasI use diluted "Simple Green" for my awning, roof and sides. Seems to work wonderfully. I also have friends that swear by a cleaner simply called "Awesome". It is orange in color and can be purchased at most dollar stores.TV antennaWhen I first bought my 2015 Solaire 220X I was able to receive several channels on my TV. Now-a-days I am lucky to be able to pull in 1 or 2 channels. The antenna is stationary (not crank-up). I know reception depends on distance to tv signal antennas, tress overhead, etc., but I normally camp in the same spaces from year to year. The booster at the receptacle is always turned on. Do these antennas fail? Is there some other aftermarket booster that I can install? I don't watch a lot of TV while camping but in the fall I like to watch college football from the campground when I can. p.s....A satellite dish is out of the question right now. Thanks in advance :)Re: Break controllerI had my daughter check the high mount brake light the other day. It isnt working. I haven't had the chance to check the fuse yet but will likely tonight. I will have to get the owner manual out and figure out which fuse it is. Don't recall if the truck uses the normal size fuse, or the smaller fuses.Re: A/C excessive noise/buffeting2015 Solaire 220X - a/c has been noisy from day 1. I'm guessing that's just the way it is.Re: Lights stay onAs mentioned above, sounds like the pig tail connector on the 5th wheel is shorting (corrosion, etc). I had a problem with my Chevy Colorado where my running lights would not turn off. Tore the 7 pin connector at the rear of the truck apart. Corroded...BAD! Replaced it and the light issue went away.Break controllerTook my trailer out for the first time last weekend. I noticed that my trucks's (2001 Silverado) brake pedal is not activating my brake controller. If I use the manual slide on the controller box, the trailer breaks work fine. A local hitch installer told me to check the fuse for the 3rd (high) break light. Apparently the controller is powered from that light? I havent had the opportunity to check this yet. It worked fine when I put the trailer in storage last fall. Anyone else have this problem?Re: Hot water heater drainThanks again all. I bought a 3/4" round wire brush that I found in the plumbing section at the local Menard's. I will put something on the corroded threads to try to soften the calcium a bit. Let it sit over night and then try to brush it. If that doesn't work, I will have to buy a 3/4" tap.Re: Hot water heater drainThanks all. I have been using the tape, but apparently not every time I empty the heater, which is after every camping trip. I will be driving right past a Menards on my way home from work tonight so I will stop in to see what they have. I am able to get the anode rode/plug in about half way before the gunk stops it from turning. Until I get the gunk cleaned up, I suspect the crud will only get worse.Hot water heater drainThe inner threads for the drain on my hot water heater are becoming quite corroded. I have to believe that this will eventually ruin the threads if I don't get it cleaned up soon. The plug itself can be cleaned up using a wire brush. What are people using for the inner threads of the drain? Is there an attachment available that can be used with a cordless drill? Some sort of chemical? I am new to this forum and not good at maneuvering around the different forums. Feel free to send answers to my PM. Thanks in advance! ...Bob
