water heater question
I just purchased a 2015 skyline retro it has a manual gas bottle system I have to light it outside it runs the hot water heater the furnace and the fridge my question is do I need water in the hot water heater before I light the element, Like lighting it to run the fridge when going to camp! thanks6.9KViews0likes23CommentsSway control Question
First Happy Thanksgiving every one! This might be a dumb question. I purchased a sway control yesterday and it says I can mount it on either side My brother in laws father is a super good welder and after we eat today they will go visit his family and I want to get him to take my receiver with him to weald the sway control ball plate on to my receiver and was wondering if one side is better than the other so looking at my truck from the back to the front which side shoud I use or does this make any difference Thanks for you help2.3KViews0likes5CommentsRe: First time travel trailer towing question

I've just bought a 2015 skyline retro 188s I have a 1994 f150 with a tow package 300 inline 6 auto, the camper weighs 3050 the gvwr 3850 I pulled it home with a regular receiver I was going to put sway control on it by welding the plate to my receiver, but after talking with a friend at work with a 27' 7500# camper he said I needed a receiver that you can put leveling bars and sway control on. I mainly camp 20-50 miles from home, I have a pup but once a year I usually go 100-200 miles for a week of relaxation mine is an ultra light and I do want to be safe as you can tell be me owning my truck for 21 years so do I need this set up or will the regular receiver with sway control be sufficient Thanks6.2KViews0likes14CommentsRe: Trying to decide which one
Thanks again guys I'm the proud owning of a 2015 skyline reto 188s I'm goanna.. pick it up Wednesday can hardly wait to go camping. Thanks guys for your help we've been dealing with crawling over each other in the pop up for quite awhile 90% just me and my wife if the grands don't go we usually sleep separate but the bed is the #1 thing we like about the skyline the only reason for not picking it over the sportsman is the sportsman to me looks a little more well built but if the quality is close to the same its hands down the skyline both are tin and wood I just cant find in info about either one from a owners standpoint245Views0likes0CommentsTrying to decide which one
Hello everyone, The dw and me are getting to old for the old pup and have been looking for a bigger small tt for about a yr, we've narrowed it down to 2 a 20014 new skiline retro model 188 and a barley used 2014 sportsman classis 17 rbs I like the skyline better because you can get in the bed on either side bigger bathroom. I like the sportsman better because it looks to me to be a little beeter made, but as Ive never owned a tt, I really cant tell, also the sky line is coming at about $1050 cheaper if any of you have ever had any experience with any of these or any info would greatly be appreciated2KViews0likes7Comments
