I had a "DUH" moment and measured the resistance of both speakers, they are both shorted. Mike D.Car Stereo Replacement in RV ProblemsHi all :) Our Mirada had a Jensen Car Stereo installed in an outside compartment. It worked great but started acting flaky and died. We picked up a cheap Pioneer to replace it. The wiring is really pretty simple, all color coded. They ran a 12V and Ground into that compartment, there is also an accessory outlet there for a 12V TV and a Cable connection. For some reason, they had wired the Front and Rear speaker outputs for each side together, something most Audio people will tell you not to do. The new Stereo has low, distorted sound and gets quite hot. I double checked the wiring and the 12V supply, all is good. The unit functions correctly otherwise. Any ideas? The wiring on these is all color coded.A Word To The Wise on Dometic 310 Toliet ValveHey all :) Just a tip for all you who have Dometic Toilets with the hokey plastic valve. We discovered that the flush valve in ours had a slow leak. And I do mean slow. I don't know how long it has been leaking cause we never noticed any water on the floor but I do see some swelling in various spots on the vinyl and trim on the floor. To save your self some headaches check it from time to time. What we get is just a drop or 2 of water on the bottom of the valve casing. I also discovered that they shipped the toilet without a clamp for the upper fitting on the hose that runs from the valve to the vacuum breaker. It didn't appear to leak until I started moving the valve around. Never buy another Dometic Toilet. Thanks MikeRe: New to Class A are lots of steering corrections normal? Some good suggestions here on what to check. Our 2004 Mirada did the same, the front end would "hunt". It has the pneumatic pads on the rear axle. We put in 80 lbs air pressure in the pads. That totally changed the way it drove. It seems throwing just a bit more weight on the front end did the trick for us. MikeRe: Coachman Mirada 2004 Slideout. Intermittent operation Busskipper wrote: MikeDavies wrote: Hey all. When moving the slide outs we started getting intermittent operation on 1 or both. They go out but won't come back or vice versa. I suspected the momentary switch but when one of them wouldn't operate, jumping the switch didn't work. I been scouring the forums and net for schematics and block diagrams for our coach without much luck. But so far if you push the switch four or five times while cursing, then it works. The on/off switch next to the momentary has no volatage. The momentary has 2.3 VDC on it red wire. Thanks Sounds like a bad ground wire. At the switch or the motor, take your pick. Rust - wear and tear - wire could be worn out - 13 years a lot happens if exposed to anything - Last Summer I spent almost all my spare time at the Beach repairing electrical issues. Get a good multimeter - a box of mixed electrical connectors and a few spools of wire, sounds like the fun might just be starting. Best of Luck, Thanks. I have a Fluke. Trying to get a fix on where the controllers are located now. Good luck with that.Coachman Mirada 2004 Slideout. Intermittent operationHey all. I'm trying to plan a trip out west for the last week of June 2017 through the first 3 weeks in July. I am off for 4 weeks, my wife is off 3. I'm going to to try and get out west and have wife fly in when she gets off on Friday. Would like to see Grand canyon, Las Vegas, Hoover Dam, Bryce,Zion, Arches, and Yellowstone. No idea if this is possible or not. Never been out there so please advise on a good route with days at each place, where to meet wife to technically start the trip, and what I need to see. Do I need reservations or can I just wing it? Thanks! It only has one bypass valve and a check valve.
