We have looked at a few different ones but really like a 2008 Fleetwood bounder 38V we saw yesterday. It has been really well taken care of and everything seems works and runs really well. We had a 1999 35' Rexhall gas with fiberglass roof and hydraulic jacks and slides. This one is all electric with a TPO roof. It also has the 6.7L Cummins in it with a Allison trans, 55k miles. I would really like input on if this is something I should go after. Or am I looking at potential issues that would be more than normal wear and tear. I know that all RV need maintenance. But I just don't want to walk into a maintenance nightmare.Re: Transmission adviceOff to the shop..Re: Transmission adviceOff to the she goes.. Thanks for your repliesTransmission adviceLast friday I was traveling with my family when my motorhome lost power. I have a scan gauge installed and was able to see the codes thrown. P0155, P0135, P01747, P0755, P0750 and P0743. After climbing under the coach, I noticed some wires had come loose and fallen on the header. I pulled them off and inspected. Some copper was showing on a couple. But I did not notice any broken wires. After doing some online research, I was able to find a fuse blown. I replaced the fuse and was able to drive once again. Now only one code is being thrown. P0743 and my motorhomes torque converter is not kicking in. I had to pull over a few times to let the transmission cool down. I feel like there is a wire or fuse that I am missing. I also have a gearvendor overdrive in the coach. There is a t-5 data cable that is also burnt really bad that does look damaged. I traced it and it does appear to go into the tranny somewhere. Do these transmissions have data cables going to them? Or maybe the splitter controls the the converter somehow and this data cable goes there. I am at a loss. 1999 Rexhall, F53, V10, 4R100, Gearvendorburnt rubber smell??While driving home yesterday in my 1999 34' rexhall class a motorhome, I noticed on a few occasions a burnt rubber smell. I looked over the tires and engine and do not see anything standing out. Any ideas?? I was not stopping or on the brakes at all. I was actually had the cruise control on at 60. I looked at the belt and it looked fine nor did I here it squeal at all. The smell would come on and then slowly dissipate out. It happened a couple of times. I looked around to see if there were any tractor trailers around, as they seem to always smell of burnt rubber. It was just me on the road. Thanks
