Keyed alike locks are provided to prevent a camper from being stolen. With complaint of camper movement and worry of camper theft, Robert and Amy Taft installed the FastGun Wobble Stoppers on their camper. Whoops, you're right. This is a good idea, thanks.Re: How to keep a TC from being stolen when not on the truck? mellow wrote: https://www.torklift.com/blog/entry/how-to-protect-a-camper-from-theft The body of that article has nothing to do with the title. :hRe: How to keep a TC from being stolen when not on the truck? ronharmless wrote: What’s to stop someone from stealing a fifth wheel, travel trailer, Motorhome, etc.? IMHO it seems to be pretty much a nonissue. Stick dog appears to have the best answer. Well, there are ways to secure all of those you listed (king pin locks, wheel locks, etc) but I've never seen a way to secure a TC and that's why I asked. If I invest 10s of thousands in a TC I sure want to prevent someone from stealing it. Judging by the comments here it appears there isn't an "industry solution" other than lowering it or perhaps chaining it to a tree. Thanks anyway.Re: How to keep a TC from being stolen when not on the truck? srschang wrote: I don't worry about it. It’s not worry, it’s precaution. Ah, you're right. I've been primarily looking at Class A's recently.Black Tank Valve/Discharge Under Coach Rather Than In A Bay?Looking at an '08 Coachmen 2310QB and I see that the black tank valve and discharge outlet is hanging underneath the coach rather than inside a compartment like others I've seen. My concern is how vulnerable it looks to being busted by something. Like backing into a parking space and hitting it on the curb or driving over a big rock while boondocking, etc. Am I being concerned needlessly? Thanks.Re: Anybody Know of a Class C With This Floorplan? bobndot wrote: Jedidad, I just want to point out one thing that I noticed. The shower design in that floorplan plumbed the shower head and water lines on the outside wall opposed to the warmer interior wall next to the bed . Naturally it will only be a potential problem if the temps drop too low, that area will probably be the first to freeze up as it has for some people with that design. You would have to try to protect that side of the rv by not facing that wall into the wind during a cold spell. Just be aware of it because a freeze causing a cracked line or more likely a cracked plastic fitting would be a difficult repair. Good to know. Thanks.Re: Anybody Know of a Class C With This Floorplan? Katman1100 wrote: I think the bornfree 26RSB fits pretty close, and has the benefit of the roll cage built in. Yeah, you're right but I'm thinking about front end crash survival. I'm thinking a C would be better than an A.
