All they said was I needed to buy a whole new assembly. I just don't have thousands to throw away like that.Leak on Lippert Hydraulic systemI have a small leak on my hydraulic system. The unit consist of a tank, a pump block and the motor. Fluid is collecting at the base of the pump then dripping down. It appears that the fluid might be coming from where the tank bolts up to the pump face. I have tightened up the four bolts that hold the tank to the pump but the leak is still present. I talked to Lippert but all they said was I need to buy a whole new unit. Ain't gonna do that. None of the hoses or connections are leaking. I can't see anything on the pump itself leaking. I am sure I am not the first person to experience a leak like this. If any of you have any comments or have had similar leaks please give me some advice. Thanks!Re: Sewer smellBe sure water is in the p traps which includes the one for the clothes washer if you have one.I-95 rest area parking for RVPlanning a trip to Key West. Was thinking about just pulling in a rest area on I-95 to grab 6-7 hours sleep on the way. I just read on the state website where parking in rest areas is limited to 3 hours. I am sure some of those over the road truckers stay there more than 3 hours. Has anyone had any issues catching a nap at rest areas in Florida? Thanks!Re: sewer odorOurs was a dry P-trap on the clothes washer.Hydralic fluid tank replacementI am tracing a small hydraulic fluid leak under the front hood. It seems like it might be coming from the 2 piece plastic tank itself. The tank is in a horizontal position to the pump. Don't know why it can't be a one piece tank but may have to replace it. Looking for someone who has done this before. 42' Thor Tuscany.Annual maintenanceI have been changing the oil and fuel filters for the engine and generator once a year. Our mh gets about 2000 miles per year and other than camping, it stays in a climate controlled shop. Recently, I have had several people tell me that my maintenance schedule is too frequent. I plan on maintaining it since I do the maintenance myself. I was just wondering when other do their maintenance? Also, do you change antifreeze based on time, mileage or analysis?Re: Ultra Level Hydralic system liquid level checkHow about the type fluid??Re: Ultra Level Hydralic system liquid level checkI though so but need confirmation. Thanks!!!Ultra Level Hydralic system liquid level check2012 42' Thor Tuscany. I have a small fluid leak on my mh hydraulic system. I will find and repair. Question is are you suppose to check the liquid level in the hydraulic tank with the slides in and jacks up or with the slides out and the jacks down? Also, do you use hydraulic oil or tranny fluid? Thanks for any info!
