Thanks, FrancisRe: 2004 F-150 Tow MirrorsDid they make tow mirrors for F-150's or only the larger trucks?Re: 2004 F-150 Tow MirrorsThose do look nice. What factory mirrors (models & years) would be a bolt on replacement? I wouldn't mind checking a wrecking yard for used mirrors.2004 F-150 Tow MirrorsHi all! I recently purchased a 2004 F-150 Supercrew. The passenger mirror casing is broken, so I'm looking to get a replacement. I figured that I might as well upgrade since I need a new one anyway. They are factor power mirrors with heat and the turn indicator. Looking for recommendations on what to get. Thanks!Re: Difference in GearingRight, the half ton Avalanche. The 3/4 ton only came with the 8.1L that is a gas hog. Yes, all of the half tons are designed to ride as well as possible, but they still have rear leaf springs unlike the SUV's and Avalanches. I would consider the 1500HD that you're talking about, but for normal use, I don't need something that will suck that much gas. Just having issues finding something in my price range that doesn't have a ridiculous amount of miles.Re: Difference in GearingSo you're saying that the 3.55 will be just fine? I can negotiate using that as a bargaining position that this really isn't what I want and see what the guy says.Re: Difference in GearingJust found out the one with the 3.73 is sold, so I guess I may be stuck with the 3.55 unless something else comes along shortly. Bad time of year to be in WI without a second vehicle.....been kinda rough riding my motorcycle to work!Re: Difference in GearingThought about an avalanche for a bit, but decided the suspension would be too soft. I will be using the vehicle for things around the house, so I'll need some sort of bed.Re: Difference in GearingI agree that most of the will do what I need it to. The only one I am staying away from are the Dodges....they seem to have the smallest back seat. There seem to be more F-150's available than any of the other brands.Re: Difference in GearingMy mistake....5200# dry weight. I'm really only looking at 1/2 tons.
