Getting the gas line properly retightend to the gas valve is just as important as getting it loose.Re: Fridgerator has ice accumulatingThat is a normal amount of ice for 30-45 day period. Just time to defrost it.Re: Suburban water heater issueNot an uncommon problem on the AC side of this model water heater. Replace the thermostat, wire and the ON/OFF switch. You will need to remove the ON/OFF switch to replace the wire. You can just pry the ON/OFF switch out for the outside. I use a cotter pin removal tool with the 90 degree end. Don't worry about damaging the switch since you are replacing it. The switch is under AMP rated in my opinion and I see lots of burned terminals, just like the wire end on the thermostat.Re: A rant about common courtesy to your neighboring campers Twomed wrote: My rant...grumpy old men that continually complain on forums about stupid people. It does't work...you can't fix stupid...not even a little bit! Ungrump...have another coffee and be thankful to be camping. :) :) I love the block feature. Grumpy people were the first to go.Re: XtraRide or USWC for Exclusionary Extended WarrantyAs a mobile repair technician, I find Xtraride Platinum to be the best extended warranty company on the market.Re: Thetford Aqua Magic Style II leakingI find the Thetford Aqua Magic Style II to be a very troublesome toilet. I have received dozens of calls with the complaint being the pedal does not return to the full up position and the water continues to run. I have only limited success replacing the water valve. Within a few weeks or months I get called back out to work on it again. My suggestion is to replace this toilet with a Thetford Aqua Magic Style Plus with the center pedal flush and the china bowl. This one is about $75 to $100 more but is a much better toilet. Make sure you have enough room behind the existing toilet because the Thetford Aqua Magic Style Plus takes a little more room. If you can't do this, don't fix the one you have, replace it with a new one.Re: Hot Water heater questionYou can also pull one of the black wires off of the gas valve solenoid located just above the 120VAC Electric ON/OFF switch on the outside of the Suburban water heater This removes the ground for one of the solenoids and no LP gas will flow if you accidentally turn the water heater LP switch on.Re: leak repairIt is either the cone seal in the elbow or the clamp.Re: Propane smellFocus on the furnace gas valve. Get access to the orifice on the end of the gas valve. Spray some soap on it. I bet you will see small bubbles. Replace the valve if this is happening.Re: Splendide Washer dryer hosesThe hoses are metric thread at the machine end. They retail for almost $40.00 each. I have been on a number of service calls with reported water leaks and found hardware store hoses. Don't do it.
