Camping near Detroit
We will be in the Detroit area in late July. Sterling State park looks like a good place, right on the shores of Erie, despite the apparent lack of shade. Does anyone know anything about this park? Thanks all. I was denied access to the GW bridge several years ago in a Class C because of propane. Then turned up the Palisades Parkway, and got pulled over because no trucks allowed. We're planning to pick up our daughter and son-in-law in DC and head to Maine this summer. I really don't want to drive through the metropolises (metropoli, metropoles???) comprising a large percentage of the population of the country. Any suggestions? X2 on all parks. Depending on the size of your rig, you need to be sure to get to the tunnel in time for an escort if approaching Zion from the east. Probably too early to swing down to the GC North rim. You need to do that sometime. Have fun. I interpreted OP comment of value of the Class B to be a starting point in pricing. If that is correct, then adding another 20k to 30k could net an 03 or 04 DP in the 35' range (Fleetwood Excursion or is it Expedition?) with 1 or 2 slides. Also, this could land any number of newer gassers in the 30' to 35' range with one or two slides. Probably about 08 to 11 models? The main thing is to find a floorplan you both like.
