Ok, I have a 2002 Fleetwood Terry that has a Dometic AE manual awning on it. Anyway a couple weekend ago, we got a nasty storm that damage the vinyl, and the long roller tube. I do have insurance, but with a $1000 ded. looks like I can buy an entire new awning for less than my deductible. Anyway, I have been in contact with Dometic and a few online sellers, who are NO help at all really. First they told me to measure from center of arm bracket to center of Arm bracket to determine the size of replacement I need......SO...I did that. EXACT measurement center to center is 17'-11 1/8" (so just under 18 foot) the fabric width on the roller is 17 foot, or just a hair under. Anyway, I don't know if I need to order a 17 foot awning, or an 18 foot awning..as I want to use the same mounting locations as the old awning..so want to be sure I get the correct awning that will match up with the old mounts. Any help from you guys would be awesome. I have tried to locate the make, model number on the old awning, but haven't found anything yet. Thanks for listening.Re: Terry plumbing questionsWestend..thanks for the reply. That's what I figured, either dropping the tank, which I DON'T want to do if at all possible. I guess I'll do the "cut a larger access door" method around the pipe into the floor, so I can get my hands in there to work. Repair the pipe connections, and then replace the floor with maybe some sheetmetal, so the WON'T be able to chew in that way again.Terry plumbing questionsHI all. We have a 2004 Fleetwood Terry travel trailer. Anyway, some red squirrels got up above the grey water tank this winter, chewed enough of the floor away and nested in a cupboard drawer above the grey water tank. Anyway....while chewing the hole, they managed to chew a hole into the grey water waste line that goes from the bathroom sink and shower drain, and down into the top of the grey water tank..now..the straight piece of PVC will be easy to replace, but they also chewed a portion of the "T" that the upper side connects to the air vent in the roof, and the lower portion leads down into the grey water tank is...SO, I'll need to replace this T as well. Only problem is a portion of the T is down past floor level. I have no idea is this pipe is just a "slip" fitting into the greywater tank, or how it's connect, so I thought about dropping the grey water tank, but I don't want to do that, as I don't know how the drains are connected....any idea on how to replace these pieces would be MOST welcome. ThanksRe: Electric powered trailer mover/dolly.I built one myself to move around my 32 foot TT. It works great. It took me a couple weeks to round everything up, cut it and weld it up, and there is some light fabrication..but if you can follow directions, you can build it. Cost me about $300 to put together. the guy sells plans to build these online.Re: Just found a super easy way to take the black streaks offkeep those magic erasers..they work great on the undersides of the awning, and it looks brand new when you are done. For the black streaks..my RV Dealer uses and swears by Soft Scrub with bleach. He said there's lots of expensive products that work, but soft scrub works just as well, and is cheaper than the rest..so that's what they use on all of the campers there.Re: Awning LED Strip installGotcha...thanks for letting me know. DanRe: Awning LED Strip installYes, I am actually a lighting designer in a theatre..so I know about color mixing with light...I just got some fairly expensive LED theatre lights that have RGB leds, but ALSO have a white led and an Amber LED, so the units are (RGBAW) and this allows for you to actually create warmer or cooler "whites" based on how you dim other LED's in the unit....I guess my main question is, can you create a bit of a warmer white with the dimmer functions on the remote??? I know that just using R,G,B together creates a fairly "cool, bluish" light, and just wondering what sort of capabilities the remote gives you for dimming. Thanks for your help DanRe: Awning LED Strip installAre your LED's just RGB (red, blue, green) and yo can mix them all together to get a "whitish" look...OR does your set also contain a white LED? Most I've seen just have the R,G,B, but no white.
