Prednisolone is a steroid, similar to what is in the Temaril-P. Long term dosing can present problems and is a consideration but when life threatening situations exist, that's not really an issue.
Enalapril is an ACE inhibitor and is primarily used for heart issues in dogs.
I just read an article about a study being done at Tufts.

I'm not saying this is what is going on with Murphy, but when heart disease has been ruled out, primary lung issues are RARE in dogs and thus are pretty difficult to diagnose. We generally start looking at rare type of issues.
