Murphy went to the rainbow bridge sometime this afternoon. She really took a turn for the worse last night. She was panting really hard. I came home today during lunch to check on her. She was panting and trying to catch her breath. She had that blank stare on her face and I knew she wanted to move on.
I called Donna and told her she was in bad shape. Donna got home around 4:30 and Murphy had passed.
I just got done burying her in a special spot in the back yard. Donna said Murphy did this for us so we didn't have that long drive to the vet to put her down.
I am so sad I can hardly stand it but I know we gave her a great life. She lived for almost 17 years and gave us so much joy.
Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers.
