ZuZu certainly has had her share of problems. Check her paw/nails very carefully. Perhaps she caught a nail on the gate and it tore or jammed a toe. Just a thought, but it seems to be centered on that paw and not the leg from what you said. Wonder if you were able to wrap the paw gently and loosely if that would help.
Had Brendon to the vet the first of the month. His liver enzymes are elevated, a typical problem with Scotties. He had it before and his then vet put him on a liver supplement. By the time I changed vets, his tests were back to normal so the new vet took him off the supplement. I thought that odd, since the supplement obviously made a difference in the liver enzymes. I asked her why she had taken him off of it and she said there was no reason to keep a healthy dog on a supplement. Well, yeah, understood, but we put him on it because he wasn't healthy. So now we are back to the supplement and testing. Ho hum.
