Hi everyone. . .
I've been busy boxing stuff up. No, I'm not moving, but I'm doing some major work on my house. I have some cracks in the ceiling from when a new roof was installed a few years back. I am finally getting those fixed. Then I'm having the entire interior including the ceilings painted. Next will be new flooring throughout and finally new baseboards after that. New toilets and all new ceiling fans. So I am packing up all the small stuff that normally sits on tables, bookshelves, etc., making it easier for the workers to move. It's killing me. I have the week to do it all, and even though I am putting things in small boxes, it's a chore moving it outside. The only place I have to put it is in the shed, but space is limited there because the toilets and ceiling fans are there. I have an enclosed utility trailer under the port and I am putting boxes in there. Space is limited there as well because I use it as a "garage" for my e-trike. Putting some in closets, etc. I still have until Monday to get it all done and I think I will meet that goal. They said it will take 2 weeks, so I may be living in the "Silver Fox" for a few days. She sits in the drive under her own port with FHU's, so that won't be a problem. I think when this is all over, Brendon and I will take a little trip for some R&R.

Well, Yesterday was 2 weeks. The remodel was to take 2 weeks and they got done one day shy of 2 weeks. I'm certainly not complaining. It was tough living with an air compressor in the house. The work they did is beautiful. My house looks new. I don't have everything unpacked yet and I cannot find the remotes for the bedroom TV. LOL They are here somewhere. I've been cleaning up little things. My dryer also went on the blink and I didn't have anyone come in to fix it because it's in the entryway and I figured that would not be good with the workers coming in/out all day. So the repairman came yesterday and fixed it. Now I have 2 weeks of laundry to do. LOL I am really happy with the outcome and I won't have to do any other work to the house. I have waited for a couple years to get some of the little things done that were taken care of by the workers so I am a happy camper!
Dale, that sounds like alot of work! I am glad the forum is still working. For two days awhile back I opened this thread and it said it was closed for replies. I thought the thread was finally dead. I thought I would try again the other day and that closed message was gone and I was able to post again. I'm not sure if anyone besides me and you still look in on the thread.

Yeah, same here. My son and his wife/daughter are in Tally for the weekend. They are watching FSU ladies softball. My DIL Megan played in high school and loved it. Their daughter is in 6th grade and has been playing since T-ball days. They have coaches for her and she has developed into quite a pitcher. She wants to go to FSU and play. (Megan's alma mater). They are freezing their butts off though. I asked Brandon if he took warm clothes and he said he did but he hadn't planned on wearing them all at once! LOL
I have a few things to move out to the shed today and then I figure I'm ready for the workers to come do their thing. I will be glad when it is all done.
