I'm off to Virginia again to see my daughter and her family. Spent the night at Blythe Island Regional Park. FHU's, $47 (30 Amp). Very much like a campground, not a resort. Very quiet, wooded, peaceful, just like Brendon likes it. No big trucks flying by, etc. Rivers on both sides. I have stayed at Southern Retreat just back up the road, but this is much better. And the temps . . . . OMG the temps. 68° this morning! Got the door open, a little breeze, just perfect.
Virginia has cooled off as well, so I packed some jeans this trip. After my week in Charlottesville, I have a Coach House rally in Williamsburg. Worked out great to combine it with a trip to see the kids, since it's just 90 minutes away! Then I'll visit friends in Chesapeake before heading home. Planned to do some different things while I was gone, but I've gone some pressing dental work that I need to take care of. Drat.
Take care FOOF's!

Dale, it looks like it's just me and you left. I sure do miss the this thread back in the day. Hope you are having fun in Virginia. I don't have another trip planned until late October when we go to New Orleans.

I left the rally and drove to Chesapeake, VA, to see friends. Was staying Friday through Monday, but decided to leave on Saturday due to Imelda. I have a doctor's appointment on Thursday I can't miss and was afraid I wouldn't be able to make it south through the Carolinas due to the heavy storm that was predicted. Looks now like it's a non-issue. I am currently in Kingsland, GA, in a campground and will be home later today. Oh well. Had a great rally and time at Colonial Williamsburg, which was great! The fuel hatch on my Ford Transit has broken. One of two hinges, so I have to see about getting that fixed.

We are heading to New Orleans in 3 weeks and I have a bunch of stuff to get done to the motorhome. Need to change the oil in both the engine and generator. I also need to replace an end cap on my awning that apparently came off the last time to drove the motorhome. Seems like it's always something to do or fix on the motorhome.

I think you're right Burch! I have a couple campouts coming up and then in November I'm going to the Keys with the RVWomen. I haven't been there since the last time Terry and I went. So it will be bittersweet but I am excited to get to go!
