Until finance comes in and order antimony.
Read the NASA report about that infamous case, and in the back of the report, toward the end, you find the elusive nibble as to what the researchers actually found in examinations of the failure.
The failure (tin whiskers) was found in a perfectly good / working sample. But had the whiskering be allowed to continue...
Nothing that a high level interrupt can't fix.
In the good old days, that is called the "off" button.
