You do what comes naturally when your 8 airbag vehicle blows.
It is cheaper to scrap the vehicle than repair it.
B50 design life of the Ford 6.7 is about 250,000miles.
If I were the manufacturer, the perfect car for me to build and market is the car that cease to work the day after the warranty expires.
Not a penny of extra value added that is not essential to completing its warranted life.
Kind of like engineering a mine that collapses just as the last bucket of ore is removed and the last miner leaves.
